L'opera di Bruno ha come premessa l'assunto che il
benessere/malattia è determinato dall'equilibrio di quattro
elementi, il fuoco, l'aria, l'acqua e terra; è altresì determinato dal
loro modo di manifestarsi: umido/caldo, caldo/secco,
secco/freddo, freddo/umido. Avvalendosi degli studi di astrologia
applicati all'arte medica, Giordano Bruno intese dare al mondo,
con la sua opera originale, una visione della natura interamente
viva e densa di magia e spiritualità. Dal momento che le forze
astrali sono in armonia con la natura umana, Bruno volle trovare
in esse una possibilità terapeutica, sviluppando una particolare
medicina astrale, capace di curare il corpo dell'uomo attraverso la
sua mente.
