Annamaria Silvana de Rosa, Ph.D., Full Professor of Psychology of Social Representations and Communication and of the Laboratory of web-marketing and New Media at the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology - University of Rome “Sapienza”, Italy. THEmatic NETwork and of the Sapienza Coordination Program for Joint European/International Doctorates. Member of the Sapienza University Steering Committee of the International Relations, she is the Director of the European Ph.D. on SR & C Research Centre and Multimedia Lab and of the So.Re.Com. Among other awards, she received in 2011 the Fulbright Schuman Grant awarded by the Commission for Educational Exchange between the United States of America, Belgium and Luxembourg (Host University: University of California, Irvine) and in 2010 the Doctorate Honoris Causa from the University “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” of Iasi, Romania.
Prof. de Rosa has been invited as international expert to evaluate research programmes by the Belgian Federal Science Policy Office for ex-post evaluation; the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), the European Science Foundation (ESF), the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (CRSH), the Canadian Fonds pour la Formation de Chercheurs et l’Aide à la Recherche (FCAR) in Québec, the Italian Ministry of Scientific Research.

Prof. de Rosa is the author of more than two hundred publications in the field of Social Psychology inspired by the unified “modeling” paradigm of Social Representations and characterized by a variety of topics and a multi-methodological approach. Research areas include: madness and mental illness; environment and tourism; national, supra-national and place identity; advertising and communication; social memory and emotional impact of traumatic events; interpersonal perception and family relationships; social representations of current, future and ideal family; temporal perspective, risk perception; mass psychology of the stock market; social representations of psychoanalysis in the era of Facebook; social movements and social representations of the relationship citizens-institutions. Her last book is entitled «Social Representations in the Social Arena» (Routledge, 2013). Other publications in International Journals and Handbooks on Internationalization of Higher Education concern the distinct forms of the internationalization of doctoral education and the innovative joint international PhD.
She is also the creator of the So.Re.Com. “A.S. de Rosa” @-library, a multipurpose digital environment of interrelated relational databases conceived in the logic of the semantic web, including multiple web interfaces aimed to integrate documentation services, with networking and research training.
