Nello specifico è da attribuire ad A. Morganti l'introduzione, a F. Marsili i paragrafi 1 e 2, a G. Vivanet il paragrafo 3. Il paragrafo 4 è frutto del lavoro dei tre autori. Overviews of reviews are methods used to conduct a review to integrate results from multiple synthesis. The aims of these methods are to inform, on the basis of evidence, professional practice and the development of the scientific research. Their relevance in the international research is proved by a growing publication of "secondary studies" (systematic reviews, meta-analysis, etc.) that are the essential core of the overviews. Furthermore, there is a growing application and a theoretical reflection on these methods in all the fields of educational research, while the debate in Italy appears less mature. In this contribution, therefore, the theoretical and methodological bases are introduced, the implications for educational professionals and the main critical issues discussed, within the framework of international debate on evidence-based education and special education.

Objective: Aim of the paper is to provide a frame on the educational policies that, since 1970s, have steered the school system according to a "fully inclusive" model, highlighting the instruments of teachinglearning and evaluation tools for assessing the quality of the inclusive processes. Methodology: Starting from primary and secondary legislative sources, the paper identifies three main focus points: the passage from the inclusive "principle" to the teachinglearning practices; the tools for answering special educational needs; the tools for assessing the quality of inclusive processes. Discussion: Even though there are many efforts to align to international legislative regulations and to modernize the concept of inclusive education, Italian reality seems to be ossified in self-referential attitudes, beliefs and practices that saturate the school system. The paper outlines the need for defining new systemic research approaches that can validate this long educational tradition.

At the University of Agder, Norway, attempts are made to foster a campus-wide dialog and collaboration towards education ́s digital future. What concerns, challenges, concepts and conclusions come into focus in such a wide attempt to develop a common arena? In seeking to refine a framework, the paper presents and appraises key research perspectives from that point of view.
