Son tres palabras claves en su trayectoria personal y profesional. En torno a este eje conductor se reúnen 16 trabajos, desde disciplinas como la teología, la filología, la historia y el periodismo, que ofrecen una muestra de la riqueza y diversidad de esta temática. Mercedes Navarro Puerto es mercedaria, teóloga, biblista, psicóloga, escritora y pintora. A lo largo de su vida ha abierto nuevas perspectivas en la investigación y, de manera especial, en la teología feminista, dando voz y espacio propio a la que se realiza en España. Mujer polifacética e inquieta, ha sabido tejer redes a su alrededor, impulsando y participando en la creación de la Asociación de Teólogas Españolas (ATE), la Escuela Feminista de Teología (EFETA) y el ambicioso proyecto internacional La Biblia y las mujeres. Colección de exégesis, cultura e historia, que aborda la recepción de la Biblia desde una perspectiva de género.

Las aportaciones recogidas en este volumen ofrecen un recorrido sugerente por el Antiguo Testamento, desde el Pentateuco a la literatura sapiencial pasando por los Profetas, Rut, Daniel y Tobías. Una aproximación necesariamente plural puesto que las circunstancias históricas de cada época conformaron diferentes sensibilidades hacia el extranjero.
Confiamos en que esta obra, tomando como punto de partida los textos bíblicos, contribuya a desarrollar una mayor sensibilidad hacia la diversidad y a construir una sociedad más solidaria e inclusiva.
