Journal Studi sull'integrazione europea

Founded in 2006 by Ennio Triggiani (Full Professor of EU Law, University of Bari) and Ugo Villani (Full Professor of International Law, University of Bari), Studi sull'integrazione europea aims to be a useful insight into the many issues concerning the integration process in our continent.Since the first issue, the Review has published articles of important authors, including  the President Emeritus of the Italian Republic, Hon. Giorgio Napolitano that, a few days before his election, agreed to introduce the Review in Rome.Studi sull'integrazione europea was founded by two Jurists, but this is not a limitation of its scope of analysis because the very specificity of the European integration process makes it necessary to connect the legal profiles with those based on other scientific knowledge. The name itself shows, in fact, the possibility and the opportunity to publish interventions and contributions from scholars from other disciplines that deal with European integration. A quick inspection of the articles published to date corroborates this tendency, which, along with contributions from distinguished Jurists, include articles written by political scientists, diplomats, economists, historians,  philosophers, as well as linguists.This Review is open to the contribution of foreign researchers, as a publication that deals with Europe must establish a dialogue with scholars of other countries, in particular with those involved in the process of integration. During the first years the Review hosted, among others, articles of Spanish and German professors, but also the contributions of American scholars. Moreover, Studi sull'integrazione europea is an instrument for many young scholars who, with increasing interest, dedicate themselves to study European integration.
