In the southeast of the municipality of Aschheim, an extensive, multi-phase Bronze Age settlement and graves were uncovered on an area of around 26 hectares between 2008 and 2019/20. In 2020, about 800 m east of the previous excavation site, but probably not yet the settlement boundary, a large, Early Bronze Age burial ground with 43 burials was found, the connection to which with the settlement has not yet been clarified. The article is a preliminary report of the previous investigations.
