Merryl Rebello

After completing a PhD in Classical Philology (Latin), I have been working in internationalization and higher education administration. Currently, I work with both international and German MA students, doctoral candidates and early career researchers in the field of Manuscript Studies to support and improve their study/research conditions. I am interested in connecting to people who work in similar areas to exchange ideas and get new inspiration. 

On a personal note, I am particularly interested in creating equal opportunities in the German higher education system and in countering structural discrimination of international applicants. I believe one of the biggest factors in hindering these groups to truly participate in and contribute to research is the German universities' adherence to a bureaucracy that has been created centuries (!) ago for an entirely different purpose.
