The action was inserted as a significant element in visual arts by action painting, expressed thr... more The action was inserted as a significant element in visual arts by action painting, expressed through the work of artists such as Jackson Pollock and also by the theoretical work of Harold Rosenberg. Through Paul Ricoeur's philosophy of action, with its main focus on conceptual framework of action, a precise analysis of the comprehension of action allows us to make a specific study about the action itself in visual arts. Following this line of thought, there are three distinguished moments: action painting, as an insertion of action in the work of art; in happening, the action with the intention of being something that happens naturally; and the action itself as a work of art, in performance art.

RESUMO: No presente artigo analiso trechos do texto A Educação do Não-Artista-Parte 1 {1971), de ... more RESUMO: No presente artigo analiso trechos do texto A Educação do Não-Artista-Parte 1 {1971), de Allan Kaprow, no qual o artista apresenta quatro senhas para refletir sobre a arte de seu tempo, sendo elas: a não-arte, a antiarte a arte Arte e a an-arte, e seus modos de relação com a sociedade, com as instituições e os "formatos sagrados", transmitidos nas tradições. Dentre os vários pontos destacados da obra de Kaprow, reflito sobre a importância do seu papel como artista-pensador para a minha pesquisa, levantando a premissa de um agir artístico como um filosofar. Em seguida, apresento uma discussão sobre a obra Quando dizer é fazer: palavras e ação {1990) do filósofo J. L. Austin e a rede conceituai da ação do filósofo francês Paul Ricoeur para introduzir as duas perspectivas de um agir-filosofar dentro de minhas proposições no campo da performance arte, sendo elas intituladas Comentários e Pequenos Tratados. Na esteira da evolução tecnológica relacionada à música, a prática e profissão do DJ popularizou-... more Na esteira da evolução tecnológica relacionada à música, a prática e profissão do DJ popularizou-se e se expande alcançando as mais diversas classes da sociedade. Contudo, apesar do fazer do DJ estar relacionado à música, ele não é necessariamente um músico ou mesmo não o é exigido o conhecimento como de um músico para desempenhar o seu fazer. Portanto, a questão “o que faz o DJ?”… O presente artigo se propõe, por meio da filosofia hermenêutica de Paul Ricoeur, a uma investigação que possibilite caracterizar o fazer do DJ como uma narração, assim como ele próprio assumindo o papel de um narrador.

Na presente dissertação defendo que desempenho uma reflexão filosófica por meio de minhas ações e... more Na presente dissertação defendo que desempenho uma reflexão filosófica por meio de minhas ações em performance. Para tal, apresento uma estrutura composta por preâmbulo, dois estudos principais, um estudo intermediário, além de uma pequena conclusão. No preâmbulo defino o terreno artístico e filosófico desta pesquisa, sendo a performance arte e a filosofia da ação de Paul Ricoeur, respectivamente. No primeiro estudo, direciono-me ao exame de como e quando o agir se torna um filosofar a partir de uma investigação no campo da criação, na qual abordo obras, discuto e proponho novos conceitos como criação em processo, agir-filosofar e filosofar prático. Após introduzir o conceito de particulares básicos da performance arte no estudo intermediário, investigo o filosofar prático em duas etapas: a primeira relacionada à ação e a segunda aos demais particulares. A pesquisa abrange um período de dez anos de minha produção artística, delimitada entre os anos de 2010 e de 2019. Em todo o seu corpo apresento e discuto conceitos e teorias de filósofos como Paul Ricoeur, Santo Agostinho, G. E. Anscombe, Hannah Arendt, J. L. Austin, Arthur Danto, Donald Davidson, J. Searle, P. F. Strawson, Charles Taylor, Paul Valéry e G. L. von Wright.

In this dissertation, I argue that I perform a philosophical reflection through my actions in art. To this end, I present a structure composed of a preamble, two main studies, an intermediate study, in addition to a small conclusion. In the preamble I define the artistic and philosophical ground of this research, being performance art and Paul Ricoeur's philosophy of action, respectively. In the first study, I examine how and when acting becomes philosophizing based on an investigation in the field of creation, in which I approach works, discuss and propose new concepts such as creation in process, acting-philosophizing and practical philosophizing. After introducing the concept of basic particulars of performance art in the intermediate study, I investigate practical philosophizing in two stages: the first related to action and the second to other particulars. The research covers a period of ten years of my artistic production, delimited between the years 2010 and 2019. Throughout its body I present and discuss concepts and theories of philosophers such as Paul Ricoeur, Saint Augustine, G. E. Anscombe, Hannah Arendt, J. L. Austin, Arthur Danto, Donald Davidson, J. Searle, P. F. Strawson, Charles Taylor, Paul Valéry, and G. L. von Wright.
