
Luciano Camargo
Luciano Camargo is a Brazilian conductor and composer, PhD and Master in Music from University of São Paulo (Brazil), where he completed also the Bachelor in Music Performance on conducting. Among his teachers were Klaus Hövelmann and Peter Gülke in Freiburg (Germany), Ira Levin, Kenneth Kiesler, Roberto Tibiriçá, Roberto Duarte, Osvaldo Ferreira and Vladimir Ponkin. In 2007 accomplished an Academic Internship at St. Peterburg State Conservatory (Russia), and since then he develops a prolific research and performance on Russian Music. Among many courses and master classes, he worked with Kurt Masur on the Brazilian Symphonic Orchestra (OSB) in 2010, Fabio Mechetti with Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra (2013) and participated in the 2nd OSESP Award on Orchestral Conducting in São Paulo (2006).From 2000-2002 he was Director for Sacred Music at St. Peter und Paul Kirche Freiburg (Germany), and since 2003 is the General Music Director of São Paulo Academic Orchestra and Choral of the City São Paulo (UNIOPERA), developing a prolific career as conductor, performing concerts in the best concert and opera houses in Brazil, including a full production of Bizet's "Carmen" (Teatro Bradesco, 2018) and Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice in the Theatro São Pedro (São Paulo, 2010) and the most important works of vocal-symphonic repertoire as Orff’s Carmina Burana, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Mozart’s Requiem and Great Mass in C minor, Mendelssohn’s 2nd Symphony “Lobgesang”, Handel’s The Messiah and 4 Coronation Anthems, an expressive number of Bach’s Cantatas, among a comprehensive work with Brazilian composers like Villa-Lobos and José Maurício Nunes Garcia, as well with Shostakovich, including Brazilian premieres of the oratorios Execution of Stepan Razin and Song of the Forests, among other orchestral performances like the 5th Symphony. In 2017 Luciano Camargo was named Professor for Conducting at the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) in Boa Vista (Brazil), leading also the University Symphonic Orchestra and the University Choirs. Since 2023 is faculty member at Instituto de Artes (UNESP).

physiological conditions required for the development of choral sonority.
This analysis will result in the clarification of the concepts related to
the adjustment technique and an initial proposal for systematization of
the articulation of the sung vowels, comparing the results of the practical
application of this technique with the research of Johan Sundberg
(2018) and Richard Miller (2019), as well as the premises of Henry Leck
(2020), Shirlee Emmons and Constance Chase (2006).
