The solution is done by using the water as drinking water with the help of water purifier. The purpose of this program is to characterize tidal water, prototyping tools, and characterize the resulting water. This water purifier is designed to use three kinds of macro filter namely silica sand, activated carbon, zeolite, and the membranes Reverse Osmosis. In addition, the tool is equipped with a photocatalyst that functions to neutralize organic compounds. Reverse Osmosis Membrane equipped with backflush process to extend the life of the membrane. Tidal water test results in Laboratory of PDAM TirtaMoedal shows some parameters that exceed drinking water quality standard, dissolved solids is 1848 mg/lt of quality standard of 500 mg/l, levels of Chloride is 1692 mg/l of quality standard of 250 mg/l, Ammonia levels is 1.28 mg/l of quality standard of 1.5 mg/l, levels of Manganese is 0.522 mg/l of quality standard of 0.1 mg/l. Then the results of lab tests show that the water output of this tool is potable LW ¶VLQGLFDted by dissolved solids was reduced to 10 mg/l,

Biodiesel merupakan salah satu bahan bakar alternatif pengganti solar yang dibuat dari sumber yan... more Biodiesel merupakan salah satu bahan bakar alternatif pengganti solar yang dibuat dari sumber yang dapat diperbaharui seperti minyak nabati dan lemak hewani. Salah satu bahan alami yang dapat digunakan sebagai material dalam pembuatan biodisel adalah biji randu. Keberadaan bahan baku yang cukup melimpah merupakan kesempatan besar untuk bisa dikembangkan menjadi pilihan energi alternatif yang dikembangkan dalam skala komersial. Biodiesel dari minyak biji randu dapat dibuat melalui reaksi transesterifikasi dua tahap yang dibantu dengan menggunakan katalis basa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi minyak biji randu, menentukan variabel yang paling berpengaruh antara suhu, waktu, dan rasio minyak-metanol terhadap yield yang dihasilkan melalui metode factorial design, optimasi variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap yield yang dihasilkan, dan mengkarakterisasi biodiesel yang dihasilkan. Proses transesterifikasi dua tahap menggunakan KOH sebagai katalis dengan variabel berubah, yaitu: suhu, rasio methanol-minyak, dan waktu. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa minyak biji randu memiliki kadar FFA sebesar 17,97% dan bilangan penyabunan sebesar 172,55 mgKOH/g. Variabel yang paling berpengaruh yaitu variabel waktu. Pada optimasi variabel waktu, didapatkan secara optimal pada waktu 105 menit dengan perolehan yield sebesar 77,39%. Hasil karakterisasi produk biodiesel menunjukkan dari tujuh parameter pengujian, empat parameter sesuai dengan standar yang disyaratkan SNI.

Terrace in energy consumption is not balanced with adequate fossil fuel reserves and will be totally depleted in the near future. Indonesian Government through a Presidential Decree No. 5 year 2006 mandates an increased capacity in renewable energy production from 5 percent to 15 percent in 2025. C. pentandra seed oil has feasibility as a sustainable biodiesel feedstock in Indonesia. The aim of this paper was to investigate biodiesel production from Ceiba petandra seed oil using naturally potassium hydroxide catalyst. Research designs are based on factorial design with 2 levels and 3 independent variables (temperature, reaction time and molar ratio of methanol to oil). According to data calculation, the most influential single variable is molar ratio of methanol to oil. Characterization of biodiesel products fulfill all the qualifications standardized by SNI 04-7182-2006.

Biodiesel sebagai upaya Green Energy menuntut penelitian tentang biodiesel yang dibuat dari minyak biji randu menggunakan katalis KOH yang juga dari kulit randu. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuat biodiesel dari minyak biji randu dengan katalis KOH kulit randu, mengetahui variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap yield biodiesel yang dihasilkan dan variabel yang optimal untuk respon terbaik. Proses pembuatan biodisel ini menggunakan proses transesterifikasi. Minyak biji randu dianalisis dahulu kadar FFA (asam lemak bebas) menggunakan metode titrimetri. Kemudian mereaksikan minyak biji randu dengan metanol. Transesterifikasi adalah reaksi trigliserida dengan metanol menghasilkan biodiesel dan gliserol. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan model faktorial desain 23 yang akan divariasikan tiga variabel dengan masing-masing variabel digunakan dua level, sebagai level atas, dan level bawah. Dari analisa faktorial desain didapatkan bahwa variabel yang paling berpengaruh adalah variabel rasio pereaktan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan yield optimal terdapat pada kombinasi variabel suhu 30 oC, waktu 30 menit dan rasio pereaktan 15:1. Yield terbesar yang didapat sebesar 89,1% dan kadar metil ester sebesar 99,28% dengan kadar minimal menurut SNI 96,5%. Biodiesel dari minyak biji randu dapat secara murah dan alami dibuat, ditunjukkan dengan hasil analisa karakter biodiesel yang semua parameternya memenuhi syarat SNI.
