Fandom: Inception Rating: R Pairing: Arthur/Eames with incidental Ariadne/Cobb Length: 8360 words (in one day, oooof)

[The above shamelessly stolen and reworked from the original Harlequin's summary.]
A/N: Oh, so many notes. First and foremost, this is the Harlequin challenge portion of undermistletoe. Emphasis on "Harlequin". I have written for one of the Harlequin challenges before, but never have I drunk the kool-aid to this extent. The fic exists in that delicious semi-anachronistic "once upon a time" zone of the true faux-historical trashy novel, so please don't be offended by all the historical inaccuracies (though I'm certain they are legion).
Also -- hi, new fandom! I DON'T EVER WRITE LIKE THIS, I SWEAR IT. Please don't judge me by this initial offering to the lovely Inception universe. This is ridiculous and florid and completely, completely OOC for me as a write, but OH. Was it ever hilarious fun!
Lastly, and most importantly, thank you to my faboo sparktastic, who is a great audience and quickly does awesome research for me when I IM her saying "WHAT ARE ROADS LIKE IN LONDON IN 1589 OMG OMG OMG." All inaccuracies (and again, they are legion, I'm sure) are my failure and mine alone. She does what she can with me, which is to say, not very much because I am difficult. Ha.
Title: The Maverick Prince Author:goddess47 Fandom: Stargate Atlantis Pairing: McKay/Sheppard Rating: R Word Count: 14,500 Disclaimer: Wish they were mine... sigh
Author's Notes: This is for the Harlequin Challenge at undermistletoe. Somehow it turned into a Regency Romance (in more ways than one), so expect some serious OOC for our boys. Praise and bowing before the lovely fenchurch1 for her beta work. What she saw was incomplete so any mistakes are mine!
Summary: At sixteen and after the death of his mother, the young High Prince John ran away to Athosia where he became just John Shepard. At thirty-six, he has been recalled by the City to perform his duty.
Title: Checkmate Ends the Game Author:miriad Fandom: Star Trek XI (reboot) Rating: PG Word Count: 3,240 Challenge:undermistletoe Harlequin Challenge, title Rebellious Rake, Innocent Governess Notes: I was trying for light and lighthearted and failed. A lot. Connected to my prompt in a very roundabout way. My first attempt at writing Spock since I was about eleven. Beta: My husband. See, I thought I was posting on Friday, not today, and when I figured it out, I had like literally two hours to get it betaed and posted. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Husband called in to save the day. We'll see just how well he did.
Summary: Without fail, the Captain chooses to sit with you. Every meal you share in the mess, there is the Captain, tray in hand. You would hesitate to say that the Captain looks eager but the thought has crossed your mind. What you simply cannot comprehend, however, is why.
Title: Santa in a Stetson Author:kho Fandom: Stargate Atlantis Rating: NC-17 Word Count: 17,000 Challenge:undermistletoe Harlequin Challenge, title Santa in a Stetson Notes: AU, and while this universe may resemble the Vegas Verse, it is not the same: It’s one decision different. Beta: The wonderful em_kellesvig, who kicked my butt when it needed kicking and made this story much, much better.
Summary: The Tavern on the Green, which is a kick and a half being that it’s located in the desert, is sixty miles north-northwest of Las Vegas and twenty miles south-southeast of Groom Lake. John gave up a long time ago trying to figure out if the bar did so well being only an hour out from Vegas or being the nearest watering hole for conspiracy-theorists thinking they’re going to sneak into Area 51.
Title: Marrying the Marquis Author: zoemathemata Fandom/Genre: SGA/Harlequin Pairing(s): John/Rodney Rating: R Word Count: ~46,000 [IDEK what happened.] A/N: HARLEQUIN. Plot contrivances! Compromising Positions! Virgin!Rodney! Fantastic first time sex! Characters that are sometimes a little OOC for plot purposes! If you don’t take it too seriously, you should enjoy it [I hope!]. And of course, my thanks to the Princess Bride, from which I stole the clergyman who married Buttercup and the Prince. Other references - the _____shire which I stole from Northanger Abby, blink and you miss it reference to the Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy. If you see something else you recognize, I probably liberated it. I actually did start reading 'The Rake's Wicked Proposal' [my prompt] and based the beginning on that.
Title: Center Stage Rating: PG Fandom: SGA Length: 2850~ words Notes: For undermistletoe's cliche-fic day, only a little late. Also, this is cracky gen teamfic. Thanks to samjohnsson for the speed-beta & to petra & Nando for abetting the plan! Summary: Once upon a time, aliens made them put on a play. *g*
Title: My Friend Masochism Author: TommyGirl Rating: PG-13 Fandom/Pairing:Glee, Puck/Rachel Spoilers: Through A Very Glee Christmas Written For:undermistletoe - non-holiday cliches (I went with trapped together) A/N: Thanks to my sister and tinylegacies for last minute, amazing beta work. Fandom: Castle Title: In Spite Of All The Damage Prompt series: Cliche Weekend - Non-Holiday Cliches Pairing: Ostensibly Castle/Beckett, Ryan and Esposito are in it too. Rating: At worst, PG-13. Title: Under the Mistletoe Author:aelora Fandom: Glee Characters: Kurt/Blaine Rating: PG-13 Summary: Kurt and Blaine have, literally, been dancing around one another. Maybe it’s time for some mistletoe to do what neither of them will. Notes: Beta'd by the lovely and patient dolimir_k. This is total and complete FLUFF. You have been warned.
Title: Eighteen to One Fandom: Stargate SG1 Pairing: Sam/Baal Rating: FRM Word Count: 2,638 Notes: This is not much of a Christmas fic. It... went sideways, due to the presence of an angsty System Lord. *frowns at him*
title: Snow Angels and Warmth Written for the 2010 Under Mistletoe Fandom Extravaganza @ undermistletoe, for the prompt "Holiday Cliches" author: ilovetakahana pairing: Arthur/Eames. blink-and-you'll-miss-it mention of Neil Gaiman/Amanda Palmer. warnings: The prompt alone should serve as a warning, shouldn't it? Holiday cliches here include Minnesota snow, snow angels, Christmas programming on the BBC, spiked hot chocolate, and Boxing Day leftovers. The screennames in the IMs come from Five Messages Arthur Never Sent Eames [and the one he did], but this fic can be read by itself. Here be schmoop, lots of holiday merrymaking, a snow angel in a three-piece suit, and Arthur and Eames texting each other. Beta'd by chn_breathmint and laria_gwyn. disclaimer: I don't own the original story or the characters. Not making any profit, just playing in the sandbox. summary: Arthur invites Eames home for the holidays.
Finally - this is my undermistletoe entry - only two days late...

TITLE – Twelve Herculean Concerts of Rodney McKay
PROMPT SERIES – Disney
Pairing – Rodney McKay and John Sheppard.

This is about as close to Hercules, the Disney movie as the Disney Movie is to the original Greek myth! If you look carefully you may see a slight resemblance in the plot… very carefully…!
Please leave a comment - I had sleepless nights over this one!
