In this paper, we present concepts in artificial neural networks (ANN) to help detect intrusion a... more In this paper, we present concepts in artificial neural networks (ANN) to help detect intrusion attacks against network computers, and introduce and compare a multi-layer perceptron ANN (MLPANN) with Snort, an open-source tool for intrusion detection systems (IDS). To conduct these comparison experiments, we inserted malicious traffic into the MLPANN to train our ANN, with results indicating that our ANN detected 99% of these input attacks.

The SoC features include wireless communication capability, data processing, sensor signal acquisition and actuator control. A power saving strategy provides long-term autonomy with standard energy sources. Application software and dedicated software development CAD tools were also implemented in this design effort.

The method consists of a numerical approximation, a Padé approach and a state-space optimization. Therefore, a filter with a PSWF impulse response for UWB systems is designed. The generated pulse from the filter can be used in multiple access schemes and have some advantages over the Gaussian monocycle pulses with respect to better matching with the spectral mask defined by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for UWB applications.

RESUMO Neste trabalho foram implementadas as estruturas que compõem um processador RISC CMOS de 1... more RESUMO Neste trabalho foram implementadas as estruturas que compõem um processador RISC CMOS de 16 bits, em tecnologia 0.35 um, utilizando uma metodologia hierárquica de projeto. O processador em questão é parte integrante de um sistema em chip (SoC) para comunicação sem fio em um sistema de controle de irrigação. Foram desenvolvidas uma ULA de 16 bits, a unidade de controle do processador, o banco de registradores, as memórias ROM e RAM e o controlador de interrupção utilizando técnicas de projeto orientado à testabilidade. Os módulos foram projetados e simulados utilizando ferramentas do CADENCE, e atenderam às especificações previamente definidas. Após validadas, as estruturas foram enviadas para fabricação.
