In the last years the installation of generators of vapor has been increased by the energy potent... more In the last years the installation of generators of vapor has been increased by the energy potential and the diversity of applications that have the vapor of water. Sectors like the hotel, hospital and industrial have increased the demand of this resource in applications for the heating of water, cooking of foods, electricity generation, sterilization and others. In this context it was applied the knowledge of the thermodynamics and of the thermal machines to the experimental diagnosis of the Boiler Pirotubular of 150 BHP of the Third Military Region of Arequipa, with the objective of solving the problems of detection of flaws in the operation of the boiler, which were predicted through a comparative energy analysis of the diagrams of Sankey of the boiler with efficient operation of reference and that of the boiler in study of the thesis; deducing that if the percentage of the lost heat is bigger or smaller than the one recommended it allows us to detect what system of the boiler it presents flaws to plan the maintenance respective predictive.
