However, this kind of nationalism cannot solve the global pandemic that affects various aspects of human life that needs global solidarity in the framework of thinking. The purpose of this article is to explore the relationship between COVID-19, nationalism, and global solidarity. This article used the literature review method to compare and contrast the COVID-19, Nationalism, and Global Solidarity arguments by using reputable resources such as journals, research reports, and news articles. AS merespon kejadian tersebut melalui pidato Obama yang menyatakan bahwa AS akan melakukan serangan militer di Suriah pada tanggal 31 Agustus 2013. Hal ini langsung direspon oleh Presiden Rusia Vladimir Putin dengan memberikan pernyataan pada tanggal yang sama yang berisi agar AS tidak melakukan serangan terhadap Suriah. Tujuan penelitian ini menjelaskan peran Rusia yang dapat memengaruhi arah perubahan kebijakan luar negeri AS yang semula akan melakukan serangan militer terhadap Suriah berubah menjadi solusi diplomatis. Despite the active involvement of the United States as a mediator in the Israeli-Palestinian conf... more Despite the active involvement of the United States as a mediator in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it has shown no sign of permanent cessation for more than sixty years. The purpose of this article is to assess the effectiveness of the US role as a mediator in the conflict. This article is also aimed at identifying possible alternatives to the exclusively US-led mediation attempts. The article starts with a discussion on the involvement of the US as a mediator and its attempts to provide solutions for this intractable conflict. It further argues that the closer relations maintained by the US and Israel have stood as an obstacle on the pursuit of peace and the achievement of a sustainable conflict resolution. The discussion also covers how US Middle East policies under the Donald Trump administration, such as the relocation of the US Embassy for Israel to Jerusalem, have worsened the situation. This article used the process-tracing method to examine the information sourced from journal articles, news media outlets, government press releases and other resources. However, military intervention under R2P norm in Libya produce a counterproductive result which then led the country into civil war. From this background, therefore, the purpose of this article is to examine the implementation of R2P in Libya into four types of lessons learned. The first lesson, R2P is corrupted by great powers that make the military intervention far from its mandate. If the US feels comfortable living in a multipolar world in which it is considered to be an equal among the major powers, China is more likely to be perceived as a partner. However, if the goal of US foreign policy is to strengthen its position as the sole superpower or even as a hyper-power, and does not choose to recognise other major countries, then the rise of China will be perceived as a threat. Based on this underlying assumption, this article seeks to examine the exact interests of the US: Is it threatened by the rise of China or is it not?
