I’m an independent researcher interested in conceptual metaphor related to identity and metamorphosis, and our human relations within artificial intelligence.
Je suis une chercheuse indépendante, la métaphore conceptuelle et l’identité en relation avec la métamorphose, de même notre rapport humain avec l’intelligence artificielle.

For the first time in human history, we encounter an entity that could become more intelligent than humans are. AI, could be able to disrupt or even modify our landmarks, influence our actions, our judgment, our decisions, is devoid of human feelings, emotions, and values and that, I believe, is the crux of the story to come.
Abstract : This article based on the book « La métamorphose identitaire » (Duval, 2019), an explanatory descriptive research (Trudel, L., Simard, C., Vonarx, N., 2007) by multiple case study, "... aims to draw conclusions from a set of cases" (Gagnon, 2012). The theoretical aspect comes from a documentary exploration in various fields of human and cognitive sciences. This research stems from a personal experience and questions about how an identity metamorphosis works. The hypothesis proposed by the present study is that: the process of identity metamorphosis would be similar to the conceptual metaphor. The intensity of the confrontation created between the old frame of reference and the new frame containing the new knowledge would modify the structure of understanding and self-recognition creating a new mental schema, a third frame (a gestalt), that of the metamorphosis of identity. An analysis of four cases of identity metamorphosis is presented as well as its process and action sequence.
