SCP will define profitability, growth, and sustainability, but is varied in level among different industries. The primary purpose of this explanatory sequential mixed-methods study was to determine the best fit model of Supply Chain Performance (SCP) in the manufacturing sector of Region XI in the Philippines. The survey was administered to 332 manufacturing companies across the region employing stratified random sampling. After analyzing the quantitative data through structural equation modeling, us17 interviewees selected from the 332 respondents, were subjected to an in-depth interview, and focus group discussion for validation of the results. The data obtained from the interview were analyzed through thematic analysis. The quantitative results revealed that out of the five exogenous variables tested for the best fit model on SCP, only three came out as having ...

This study aims to explore the personal finance implications of online gambling among students, a concern that has been widely recognized by researchers, educators, and policymakers. This study is grounded in pragmatism and anchored by Social Learning Theory and Digital Addiction Theory, exploring the lived experiences of eight students from different colleges and universities in Davao City who engage in online gambling. By employing hermeneutic phenomenology, the research captures the participants' narratives to gain insights into their motivations, coping strategies, and the financial impact of their gambling habits. Through in-depth interviews and thematic analysis, this research contributed to the understanding of online gambling's impact on students' financial behaviors and the broader implications for academic, social, and personal outcomes. The study on student online gambling found and highlighted the significant role of social influences, such as peer pressure, family members, and media representations, in shaping gambling behaviors, aligning with Bandura's Social Learning Theory. The findings emphasize the importance of addressing different phases of gambling behavior, from initiation to the chasing phase, with tailored interventions aimed at reducing risks and promoting healthier coping strategies. The study suggests incorporating financial literacy education, offering counseling services, and establishing peer support systems to help students manage gambling issues. Furthermore, the research advocates for stricter regulations on online gambling and advertising to protect vulnerable populations, such as college students, and stresses the need for further research into risk factors and effective interventions.

The quantitative results revealed that out of the five exogenous variables tested for the best-fit model on SCP, only three came out as having direct influence, to wit: buyer-supplier relationship (BSR), integrated information system (IIS) as the best predictor, and logistics performance (LP). The modest direct influence of LP on SCP was strengthened by its indirect influence through IIS. Thematic analysis of the qualitative data unveiled the essential themes generally confirming the best-fit model and its particulars. Connecting-merging-confirmation surfaced as the nature of data integration.

This study aims to develop a VI adoption model in the restaurant industry in Davao City amid a disruptive environment during the COVID-19 Pandemic to become a business model for companies in future disruptive business conditions. The study used a validated survey questionnaire among 264 restaurant owners and managers, randomly selected using a two-step sampling process, including geographical classification and random selection from the list of restaurants provided by the City Government Business Bureau. It is a quantitative study where the data were subjected to a structural equation model (SEM). The results revealed that VI is present but limited to procurement, production, restaurant services, and online marketing. Raw materials were outsourced while delivering services to customers through third-party delivery services. The VI slowly increased over ten years except for online marketing, which has grown significantly in just a few years. The endogenous and exogenous variables were correlated and established the linear regression model. The SEM's best-fit model revealed that strategic motives (SMOT) and market factors (MFAC) influenced VI adoption while MFAC is the best predictor. The model revealed that the presence of strategic motives and favorable market factors may lead restaurants to adopt VI amid a disruptive business environment.

This study is the lived experiences of Agri-Entrepreneurs in Mindanao in a qualitative and phenomenological approach to describe farmers marketing strategies for organic products. There were 16 organic farmersparticipants identified through purposeful sampling selected from among organic farmers operating for more than five years. IDI was conducted, triangulated through FGD, and analyzed using thematic analysis and dendrogram. The farmers grew and marketed organically grown rice, upland rice, mango, and vegetables like potatoes, carrots, and lettuce, among others. The sustainable farm practices observed include organic plant care, fruit care, organic pest, and disease controls, vermiculture, sustainable contour planting, greenhouse cut flowers, multi-layer air gardening, upland rice farming, and integrated plant-livestock farming. The marketing strategies development were categorized into structured, practiced by large farms, and unstructured by micro and small farmers. The distribution channels range from domestic retailers, supermarkets, trade fairs, and e-commerce platforms, to the internationalization of products to the USA, Japan, and Singapore. The themes that emerged included strategic marketing but went beyond to capture the support and backing of the government, provision of employment and livelihood opportunities, slow development of organic farming, modest marketability of organic produce, and barriers to organic farming success. It was found that organic farming is the primary source of income for farmers in raising their families including subsistence, children's education, and medical expenses, among others. The expertise of farmers is based on lifelong experiences with the help of the government and NGOs providing training and other resources including financial, machines, and technical support. Best practice in organic marketing products was not yet established. The findings imply that farmers in Mindanao whose expertise in organic farming is well established need professional help in developing marketing strategies to maximize the opportunities for organic products both locally and internationally.
