I dug up an old recipe for ratatouille yesterday, Mmmmm...ratatouille. Perfect fall dish, especially on a day like today. I sound like an old man. Eggplant, potatoes, green beans, tomatoes...how can anyone go wrong? Cooking took longer than expected. The potatoes were old and stiff, so I let them simmer for several hours. The whole dish is supposed to rest for 24 hours before serving. Yeah well, I'm hungry now. Today, the stew is served with a 100% chance of rain, high of 69 (already achieved), arthritis flare-ups, a lazy cat, and a few new pages. There's no ratatouille in the novel, but maybe there should be.
