2nd Ex's grandfather passed away this week. He'd been injured in a fire on his farm. He was the iconic tough-as-boots Texan, and he will be missed. All of your thoughts and prayers are welcome. (Even though he did tell the local preacher to go and [redacted] some years ago.)

I also found out  that the longtime pianist at Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop, Johnny Gordon, passed away in March from Alzheimer's.

Neither man is replaceable. We'll just have to grieve, miss them, and muddle along.
