I've noticed a common theme on my f-list: work sucks, the boss and co-workers are insane, everyone treats everyone poorly. We tend to carry the stress into our home lives.

So I wonder, what would the perfect job for each of us look like? I don't just mean salary and duties, I mean how you're treated, how people treat you, how much interaction you have with people (if any), where would you work, when/what hours, everything. Are you independant, or do you work in a group?

I'll start: The "office" would be within biking distance of my house. My workspce would be situated atop a cafe or pub (nonsmoking!). The place would be large and airy, with big windows. Someone would handle work aspects I completely despise, like accounting. It would be a small publishing house. We'd put out some books, mostly stuff I heard at readings. (I'd sponsor the readings in the pub or cafe downstairs. A minority stake in the restaurant would not be a bad idea.) We'd also publish a line of cards for occasions not covered by most card companies: tubal ligations and vascetomies, handfastings, adoptions, Burning Man, getting off probation, etc. I don't think I'd run the publishing house -  that would take too much time from my own writing. I'd prefer to be a talent scout and head writer.

This would be in some sunny locale, with decent weather. We would work like a team and love what we did, because we all wanted to be there.

Anyone else?
