My week in the clink had an unexpected side effect. 11yo has had the worst time getting out of bed for the last few months. I've tried adjust ing her bedtime, offering rewards, consequences, the whole bit. This resulted in me driving like a madman through town to get her to school at about 30 seconds to tardy.

While her godmother was staying at casa ulitave for the week, I told interactiveleaf to set the wake-up call back a half-hour, figuring she'd need the extra time to get the kid out of bed. Wrong! Wrong!

11yo got out of bed promptly every morning at 6 am sharp. She loves the new wake up time. I got her up at 6 today (her alarm-setting skills need work). It was the easiest, most stress-free morning we've had in ages.

In general, we had a great weekend. 11yo and I had some long conversations about her and her mom. Basically, her mom believes some problems can;t be solved, they have to be lived with. I don't believe that - I try not to believe that. I found an example 1st Ex had instilled in 11yo and let her figure out a solution.

I'm still quite tired from the Video EEG, and still having long bouts of dizziness. I called Dr. A's office this morning. They sounded a bit concerned. Everyone at work is happy to see me. They also say I look like shit, which is true. My family has called and checked on me daily. That's so unlike them I'm wondering how sick I really look.

I sent Cat and Bird to a major journal this morning. That felt good, if I redefine good to mean "bowel-shaking terror". That could have been the hospital food though.

Allright, enough of this guff. I know what everyone really wants...
