As network speed increases the software based network intrusion detection and prevention systems (NIDPS) are lagging behind requirements in throughput of so called deep package inspection -the most exhaustive process of finding a pattern in package payloads. Therefore, there is a demand for hardware implementation. Approximate content matching is a special case of content finding and variations detection used by "evasion" techniques. In this research we will enhance the k-differentiate problem with "ability" to detect a generalized Levensthein edit distance i.e. transposition of two neighboring characters. The proposed designs are based on automata theory using the concept of state reduction and complexity minimization. The main objective is to present the feasibility of the hardware design and the trade-off between the simple next state and output functions of NFA and reduced number of required memory elements (flip-flops) of DFA.

The goal of this paper is to demonstrate a concept of a 4-DOF robotic arm which can be manufactured at low cost, is aware of its surroundings and is open for further improvements. A kinematic model for the robotic arm is presented. Using the Denavit-Hartenberg representation, the complete procedures for both forward and inverse kinematics are described. Quaternion algebra has been suggested as an improved model, emphasizing its advantages over the demonstrated disadvantages of the Denavit-Hartenberg model.

Performance analysis of synchronous multibuffered packet-switching networks
Microprocessing and Microprogramming, 1993

The proposed mathematical method is general in that he analyzed synchronous interconnection networks under uniform and nonuniform traffic. The existing methods for analysis of buffered interconnection networks have assumed either single or infinite buffers at each output (or input) port of a switch, as well as uniform traffic pattern of the networks. Recently, H. Yoon et al. [1] have presented an analytical model of buffered delta networks, assuming finite buffers at each input port and uniform traffic. Firstly, in the paper, a general model of synchronous buffered switching element, using output buffering, under assumption of finite buffer size for a very general class of traffic, is presented. Traffic can be uniform or nonuniform. It is assumed that the subsequent stages of the network are nearly independent and a model is extended for entire network under this assumption. Analytical results obtained with proposed model are then compared with each other, and it is shown that the proposed mathematical method is more general then the known models of interconnection networks.

Power consumption analyzes with mathematical models into the overall electrical network

This trend has caused overcoming the processor speed limit issues, by introducing multiple processor systems. In spite of hardwarelevel parallelism, the software has evolved with various techniques for achieving parallel programs execution. Executing a program in parallel can be efficiently done only if the program code follows certain rules. There are many techniques, which tend to provide variant processing speeds. The aim of this paper is to test the Matlab, OpenMPI and Pthreads methods on a single-processor, multi-processor, GRID and cluster systems and suggest optimal method for that particular system.

Performances of LEON3 IP Core in WiGig Environment on Receiving Side

It employs 60GHz frequencies to achieve transfer rate up to 7Gbps, 10 times faster than current fastest Wi-Fi network based on IEEE 802.11n. This new standard, labeled as 802.11ad is an exclusive technology for instant data transfer. Higher frequencies allow higher data rates, which leads to inter symbol interference problem. This obstacle in WiGig is exceeded by employing OFDM modulation technique elaborated in this paper, with attention focused on receiver - what are the limitations, appropriate transfer synchronization and utilization of FFT required for signal demodulation. LEON3 processing core is a synthesized VHDL model of 32-bit processor compliant with SPARC V8 architecture. The purpose of this paper is to determine the efficiency of this type of IP core in WiGig environment, by testing LEON3s’ performances on algorithms for FFT implementation, since modulation is the essential factor in OFDM deployment. An effort was made to discover an optimal algorithm (with features obedient to the 802.11ad requirements) which escalates LEON3 IP Core performances for receiving side.

The research conducted on two occasions in 2014 was undertaken to establish all potential anomalies in the IS, US and EM spectrum with special attention to anomalies common to sacred sites, but as yet unexplained by standard physics.
We conclude the Geoglyph looks to be built on an artificial hill. This hill or mound also appears to be artificial from the aeroplane. The Geoglyph is visible only from the sky and is located in an oval ditch.
Some measurements suggest that there is chamber located below the surface. Research by different methods (infra-/ultrasound research, AMT measurements, binary algorithm synthesis from audio waves, data sonification and dowsing) also found that at the sacred enclosure primary water is located at the centre or at some point along its major axis. Furthermore, since the soil does not match the surrounding area, it would certainly appear that this mound has been carefully constructed with a specific purpose in mind. What exactly that purpose is remains to be investigated in future.
