Most of inaccurate results are from failing to understand user's search goal. This paper proposes a method to mine user's intentions and to build an intention map representing their information needs. It selects intention features from search logs obtained from previous search sessions on a given query and extracts user's intentions by using clustering and labeling algorithms. The mined user's intentions on the query are represented in an intention map. For the efficiency analysis of intention maps, we extracted user intentions using 2,600 search log data of a current domestic commercial web search engine. The experimental results using a web search engine with the intention maps show statistically significant improvements in user satisfaction scores.

It is important to find out how HLA cause the disease or modify susceptibility or course of it. In this paper, we developed an automatic HLA-disease information extraction procedure that uses biomedical publications. First, HLA and diseases are recognized in the literature using built-in regular languages and disease categories of Mesh. Second, we generated parse trees for each sentence in PubMed using collins parser. Third, we build our own information extraction algorithm. The algorithm searched parsing trees and extracted relation information from sentences. We automatically collected 10,184 sentences from 66,785 PubMed abstracts using HaDextract. The precision rate of extracted relations reported 89.6% in randomly selected 144 sentences.

Ada yang mendifinisikan akuntansi dari sudut pandang seni, sebagaimana difinisi yang populer pada saat akuntansi baru pertama berkembang. Difinisi semacam ini bisa dilihat dari buku, antara lain, Accounting Principle karya McFarlan (1960). Berikutnya, difinisi yang berkembang mengarahkan akuntansi sebagai aktivitas jasa. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari difinisi yang digunakan oleh APB dalam Accounting Principles Board Statements No. 4, sebagaimana dikutip oleh Bekaoui (1981). Dalam perkembangan terakhir, pemikir akuntansi lebih melihat akuntansi sebagai teknologi informasi. Dari sudut pandang manapun, bisa disepakati bahwa hasil akhir proses akuntansi adalah berupa informasi, yaitu informasi akuntansi. Secara umum bidang akuntansi bisa dikelompokkan ke dalam dua kategori besar: akuntansi keuangan dan akuntansi manajemen. Karena produk akuntansi adalah informasi, maka terdapat dua macam produk informasi yang bisa dihasilkan oleh akuntansi: informasi akuntansi keuangan dan informasi akuntansi manajemen. Informasi akuntansi keuangan, yang biasanya berupa neraca, laporan laba rugi, laporan aliran kas, laporan laba ditahan, dan catatan atas laporan keuangan, digunakan pihak-pihak luar, seperti investor, kreditor, dan pemerintah, untuk mengambil keputusan yang menyangkut perusahaan. Informasi akuntansi manajemen, yang umumnya berupa informasi biaya penuh, informasi akuntansi diferensial, dan informasi akuntansi pertanggungjawaban, adalah informasi yang diperlukan oleh manajemen di dalam menjalan fungsinya yang berupa perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pengarahan, pengkoordinasian, dan pengendalian. Karena proses akhir akuntansi adalah informasi, maka untuk menghasilkan informasi di atas, diperlukan proses atau prosedur yang tergabung dalam suatu sistem akuntansi.
