This research aims to confirm a model of factors than influencing employee engagement, that is th... more This research aims to confirm a model of factors than influencing employee engagement, that is the work itself, working environment, leadership, opportunity for personal growth, and opportunity to contribute. Using survey, the sample is taken from the list of millennial employees of one of the oldest private company in Indonesia. This research uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) as a tool to analyze the data. The hypothesis of this research is that all the latent variable influences the employee engagement with significant goodness of fit, with the strongest loading factors by work itself and working environment. Result shows that work itself as the strongest driver factor of engagement. The second position is work environment. That means millennial generation wanted to work happily in good environment.

Study about employee engagement has become a very popular and important concept in organization and business studies. However, the employee engagement among millennial employee is lower than the previous generation. Keduanya adalah cara bagaimana perusahaan dan pekerja menghadapi masalah-masalah yang dihadapi terkait benturan-benturan kepentingan antara keduabelah pihak. Hal yang membedakan keduanya terletak pada bagaimana cara yang diambil untuk menghadapi masalah. Untuk itu, kali ini penulis akan menyajikan perbandingan antara employee relation dan industrial relation dalam menemukan solusi yang terbaik dalam memecahkan masalah yang muncul antara pengusaha dan pekerja.
