The development of web search engines has provided an alternative for undergraduates to access the needed information for their research activities without utilising library resources, especially reference sources. This avenue created by web search engines is viewed by some as detrimental, as undergraduates now display apathy towards the use of reference sources, even though web search engines have their own limitations. Based on this, the main objective of this study was therefore to examine undergraduates’ preference between web search engines and reference sources for research activities. Plagiarism is an act that is capable of tarnishing the image of universities and postgraduate students need to avoid it. However, interactions with postgraduate students revealed that some of them did not consider some acts that constitute plagiarism as such due to ignorance. Besides, literature search showed that due attention appears not to have been paid to the issue of plagiarism policy in most universities in Nigeria. Institutional repository (IR) has the potential of increasing the visibility, prestige, ranking and public value of researchers and universities. Despite the potential benefits associated with the establishment of institutional repositories (IRs) by universities, observations have showed that it is as if most universities in Nigeria have not keyed into this laudable innovation. The study therefore examined from the library staff point of view, the factors that could contribute to the adoption of IRs in Universities in South-West Nigeria. The use of Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) by students has a lot of advantages and computer self-efficacy is a factor that could determine its effective utilization. Little appears to be known about colleges of education students" use of OPAC, computer self-efficacy and the relationship between OPAC and computer self-efficacy especially in the Nigeria context. This gave rise to the study. The descriptive research design was used for the study and population comprised of 2755 students of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Lagos, Nigeria. The multistage random sampling technique was used to select the sample size of 209 and the questionnaire was the data collection instrument. Findings showed that most of the respondents 125 (61.6%) searched the OPAC through title and 53 (26.1%) used the OPAC twice a week. Results also showed that majority of the study had high computer self-efficacy, as there was a significant positive relationship between computer self-efficacy and use of OPAC(r = .430 **; df = 202; p< 0.01). It was recommended that alternative power sources should be provided to reduce incessant power outage that limits OPAC use.

Aim/Purpose: This study examines the use of the Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT) platform by undergraduates of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, during the COVID-19 pandemic using the constructs of the UTAUT2 model. ICT use helps to facilitate easy access to electronic information for research and learning purposes by undergraduates. The objective of this study was to investigate the influence of gender on the use of ICT among undergraduates in two university libraries in Nigeria. Undergraduates from three faculties were randomly selected to give a sample of 223, which is 30% fraction of the total population of 12,353. Questionnaire was the data collection method used. The undergraduates used ICT for research purpose and to support course of study. ICT use was higher among the undergraduates in Lead City University than those in University of Ibadan. ICT use was influenced by gender in both universities. Recommendations based on the outcome of this study were highlighted in this paper.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) literacy skills on electronic information resources (EIR) use among lecturers of two private universities in Oyo State, Nigeria. Descriptive survey design was adopted for the study and using total enumeration sampling technique, the study population and study sample consisted of 234 (Two hundred and thirty four) academic staff from both Ajayi Crowther University (ACU) and Lead City University (LCU). Questionnaire was the data collection instrument used. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings revealed that E-mail and Websites were the most available resources to lecturers of both universities. Lecturers in ACU had high ICT literacy skills in General Computer
Operation while those in LCU had high ICT literacy skills in General Computer Operation, Internet Browsing, Internet Searching and Computer Appreciation. E-Mail and website were the most often used e-resources among lecturers of both universities, erratic power supply and poor internet connection were the major challenges encountered in the use of e-resources. There was a positive significant relationship between ICT literacy skills and e-resources use of lecturers.

Libraries not only acquire, organize, retrieve and disseminate information but also provide some services such as references services, current awareness, selective dissemination of information, document delivery services and inter-library loan services. Others include internet, audiovisual, reprographic, customer relation and user education services. The sole aim of these services is to satisfy the information needs of the users and clienteles of the library. The catholic religious who are studying to become priests have information needs not only for their academics but also for their pastoral training, which is given a greater priority towards their eligibility as priests. Therefore, they need to have different library services provided to meet their needs. This has necessitated the library to provide more services to them such as internet, inter-library loan, reprographic and current awareness. How satisfied are the catholic religious with the services being provided by the library? This is the focus of this paper.

ABSTRACT
The project compared the effect of NPK 15:15:15 fertilizer on the early growth of Albizia lebbeck (Linn.) Benth seedlings. The fertilizer was applied at different levels of 1g, 2g, and 3g to 4kg of top soil and top soil alone serve as the control. Twenty healthy seedlings were collected from the germination box in which the seeds were sown. The plants were arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) and data were collected on the plant height, number of leaves and the stem diameter of each seedling for eight (8) weeks. It was observed generally that the application of NPK 15:15:15 fertilizer affected the growth rate and development of Albizia lebbeck seedlings. It was also observed that treatment three (T3) which contains 3g of NPK 15:15:15 fertilizer in 4kg of top soil had the best performance with a mean of 15.48 and 13.67    in plant height and number of leaves respectively while (T2) which contained 2g of NPK 15:15:15 fertilizer in 4kg of top soil had the best performance in terms of plant girth with a mean of 0.15 followed by (T3) which has a mean of 0.13. The result showed that there was a significant difference among treatments at 5% level of probability in relation to the number of leaves of the plant and that there was no significant difference at 5% level of probability in relation to the height and stem diameter of the plant and among all other treatments. It can therefore be recommended that 3g of NPK 15:15:15 for 4kg of soil can be used in raising Albizia lebbeck so as to boost its growth when planted. The fertilizer can also be recommended because it is cheap, easy to apply.

Health literacy is an important aspect of preventive measures in curtailing the spread of diseases in the society. This is due to the fact that a health literate person understands his/her health status, take prevention and control measures of various diseases. The purpose of this paper was to discuss how libraries and deployment of health literacy campaigns can prevent, control and curtail the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria. Availability of information resources plays a major role in teaching and learning. For effective teaching to take place information resources must be provided and teachers must have access to various types of resources particularly in their areas of specialization. This will not only broaden their knowledge base but also prepare them ahead of the challenges that may face them in the course of imparting knowledge. A variety of activities that are performed by teachers in the course of carrying out their professional duties is hinged on close interaction with the various reference sources in their areas of specialization. These include preparation of course materials, communicating in the language of the discipline, facilitation of learning activities with relevant materials, engaging in elaborate conversation with learners, giving exercises that involve critical thinking to learners, and so on. The broad objective of this study is to examine the availability and accessibility as determinants of use of electronic reference sources by secondary school teachers in Ekiti State Nigeria. Four research questions were formulated for this study. The results obtained were subjected to statistical analysis and the analysed data revealed that there is a strong significant positive correlation between accessibility and utilization of E-Reference sources by secondary school teachers in Ekiti State. (r꞊.191, P꞊ .049, P˂ 0.05). It revealed a significant positive correlation between accessibility and availability of E-Reference Sources (r꞊0.907, P꞊.006, P ˂ .05). The study further revealed that both availability (ᵝ꞊ 0.457, P˂ 0.05) and accessibility (ᵝ ꞊ 0.191, P˂ 0.05) significantly influence the utilisation of E-Reference sources by secondary school teachers in Ekiti State, Nigeria. The study recommended, among others, that E-Reference sources should be made available for secondary school teachers.

In this present ICT-driven information age, the traditional roles of editors in the book publishing process are threatened, as software is being developed to perform editorial functions. Experience has shown, however, that ICT can help in improving human experience in all spheres of life. For editors to remain relevant, there is the need for conscious effort by publishers and editors to upgrade their knowledge in the application of ICT in the editorial practices. Publishing activities help a lot in developing the intellectual, social and economic aspect of any country. Publishing is making available to the public an author’s idea, intellectual thoughts, scientist inquiring, etc in a readable form for the reader or consumer. Piracy however is a menace that can serve as a clog in the wheel of publishing business in Nigeria. The study investigated the awareness of copyright administration as measure for controlling book piracy by book publishing houses in Ibadan.
The survey research design was adopted for the study and the population comprised of staff in seven publishing houses in Oyo State, Nigeria. They were Evans Publishing Group, Jericho Road, Ibadan, HEBN Publishers PLC, Ighodaro Road, Jericho, Ibadan, Rasmed Publications Limited, Old Gbagi , Ibadan; Ibadan University Press, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Scripture Union Press, Sango UI Road, Ibadan, Claverianum Press Nig. Ltd, Bodija, Ibadan, Straight-gate Publishers Limited, Oyo Road, Ibadan selected from across the state. Total enumeration technique was employed to select 100 staff of the seven publishing houses in Ibadan, Oyo State. Questionnaire and interview schedule were the main instruments for data collection and data was analyzed using simple descriptive statistics of table of frequency and percentage charts.
Findings showed that respondents were aware that there was a commission that saw to copyright issues in Nigeria (mean 3.63) and copyright is an exclusive right of the owner of a work (mean 3.48). Unauthorized duplication was most in the act of piracy (mean 3.49), followed by public exhibition of original work with owners’ permission. High cost of book and corruption rated highest in the causes of piracy i.e. (3.54) and (3.44) respectively. This confirmed that piracy affected growth in book production (3.65) and proactive activities of the Nigeria Copyright Commission were ways of curbing piracy in Nigeria.
 
Piracy and copyright infringement is a menace that all must work tirelessly to curb. The study recommended that publishers should collaborate with Nigeria Copyright Commission in their activities as raiding pirates’ outlets, proper registration and documentation of their works; the government should provide financial assistance to the commission and enabling environment for publisher to encourage them in book production especially in the area of equipment and materials. The judiciary should expedite the speed of litigation of cases of piracy with punishment in the court of law; so also law enforcement agents and Nigeria Copyright Commission should work together to ensure proper implementation and enforcement of decree No 47 1988 Act on copyright law.
