Silvia Liebel
I research Early Modern Cultural History, with emphasis on printing, violence and the construction of the modern self. My current work focuses on French street literature from 16th and 17th centuries, specially its feminine representations. I have a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in History from the Federal University of Paraná, Brazil, and a PhD in History from the Sorbonne - Université Paris Nord (under Robert Muchembled's supervision). Currently I'm associate professor of Early Modern History at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) - Brazil.
