Em seu artigo intitulado "Características e focos de aprendizagem de diversos sistemas de solfejo", Ricardo Freire analisa alguns dos principais sistemas de solfejo elaborados ao longo da história e discute suas características, assim como as vantagens e desvantagens que cada um deles apresenta no contexto do aprendizado musical. Segundo Freire, desde a Grécia Antiga a questão do solfejo vem sendo trabalhada, e inúmeros tratados foram escritos a respeito ao longo dos séculos, sendo o solfejo um mecanismo essencial para se memorizar e reproduzir sons e, portanto, um dos pilares do aprendizado musical.

Este trabalho investiga possíveis conexões entre a formação de uma identidade poética e fatores que, consciente ou inconscientemente, estimulam a imaginação sonora do compositor, incluindo: experiências culturais vividas, referências musicais, posicionamentos filosóficos. Fundamentado em minha experiência como instrumentista e compositor, concluo que esses fatores contribuem para as escolhas e para as negações e que a reincidência dessas escolhas, em uma trajetória artística, favorece o desenvolvimento de uma identidade poética. Neste estudo, identidade poética refere-se a um conjunto de conteúdos e expressões de um compositor que reincidem durante sua trajetória, ou parte desta, a ponto de tornar sua arte identificável. Partituras e gravações de composições próprias são os fundamentos deste trabalho, servindo como experimentos e realizações artísticas que expressam minhas reflexões e meus interesses estéticos atuais.

This paper reports the preliminary results of an activity involving the communication of intended and perceived emotions. Six male students were requested to present their interpretation of the piece Tempo Livre (Free Time) after practicing for ten days. The participants were instructed to mobilize their store of musical procedural knowledge in order to convey an intended emotion. Eight other students were requested to write down their perception of each of the six individual performances. Results show that communication does not correlate with years of musical study and that there is a pointed divergence between intended and perceived emotions.

Após rever um projeto esboçado por Heinrich Schenker, Die Kunst des Vortrags, no qual são discutidas estratégias interpretativas designadas por "dissimulação" e "emolduração", ambas com referência aos níveis hierárquicos da estrutura musical, oferecemos uma análise que abrange não apenas um ponto de vista composicional, mas procura resgatar o efeito instrumental. Esta abordagem analítica do primeiro movimento da sonata K 533-494 de W. A. Mozart visa demonstrar que análise e interpretação são, para Schenker, manifestações afins e complementares de uma concepção musical orgânica. Comparative study between Edino Krieger's Piano Sonata n.1 and its transcription for string orchestra entitled Divertimento para Cordas. Both works are representative of Krieger's second stylistic period characterized by the adoption of neoclassical frames coupled with the use of materials typical of Brazilian music. Besides comparing both versions and finding modifications in the transcription for strings, the analytical procedures point out features found in his pianistic writting related to idiomatic string playing.composer's musical language.

Resumo: A reflexão estética que envolve a música clássica se determina como uma espécie de busca por concepções de formas musicais capazes de promover uma experiência artística em termos exclusivamente musicais. Ou seja, pretende-se que a compreensão estética da forma musical seja autônoma de qualquer referência que não a própria organização formal dos sons. As discussões promovidas por Kant em relação à estética colaboraram muito para a definição deste modo de ajuizamento em que nenhuma representação de conteúdos se faz presente. Esta concepção, no entanto, não está livre de críticas. Este estudo analisa, em particular, a crítica de Hans-Georg Gadamer ao juízo estético procurando assimilar o sentido desta crítica à noção da compreensão de uma forma musical autônoma. Abstract: The aesthetic reflection that surrounds the classical music its determined as a kind of search for conceptions of musical forms capable of promoting an artistic experience in exclusively musical terms. That is, the aesthetic understanding of musical form is intended to be autonomous from any reference other than the very formal organization of sounds. The discussions promoted by Kant in relation to aesthetics helped much to the definition of this mode of judgment in which no representation of contents is present. This conception, however, is not free from criticism. Th is study examines, in particular, Hans-Georg Gadamer's criticism of the aesthetic judgment seeking to assimilate the meaning of this critique to the notion of the understanding of an autonomous musical form.
