André Mesquita

Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Pará (1984) and Master in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from the Aeronautical Institute of Technology, Brazil (1987). Holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Grenoble Institute of Technology, France (1992). Actually is Professor of the Federal University of Pará, (started his career in 1992) lecturing at the Mechanical Engineering undergraduate course and the graduate programs of Natural Resource Engineering (PhD), Infrastructure and Energy Development (MSc), Dam Engineering and Environmental Management (MSc). He is Associate Director of the Amazon Development Center in Engineering, an Institute of the Federal University of Pará, at Tucuruí City and General Manager of the Tucuruí Lake Technological Park. Prof. Andre is also Researcher of the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), Member of the Editorial Council of the Federal University of Pará, Advisor for the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the Brazilian Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). His main research areas are turbomachinery, renewable energy, two-phase flow, bulk solid material handling, fluidization and river flow. Published 50 papers in journals, more than 100 papers in conferences and is a reviewer for different journals from Elsevier and others editors. Has advised more than 30 MSc and PhD diplomas.
