
Ulisses De Oliveira
Ulisses De Oliveira is currently taking postdoctoral studies at the Instituto de Estudos Medievais (IEM) – Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal). He holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Language Studies from the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-Sao Paulo) and a Master's degree in the same area and university. Ulisses works as Assistant Professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), where he teaches English and Linguistics disciplines at the undergraduate level. Besides, Ulisses works in Postgraduate education in two programs, the: (1) Post-Graduation Program in Language Studies (PPGLetras) in the research area of "Discourse, subjectivity and language teaching"; and (2) Professional Master's Degree in Portuguese Language (PROFLETRAS). At the graduate level, he performs as a Postgraduate Student Advisor and teaches disciplines within the scope of the research project he coordinates: "Persuasion and ideology at the interface between Systemic-Functional Linguistics and literatures in Galician-Portuguese, Portuguese and English languages". Previously, Ulisses was a professor at the Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD), Coordinator of the LEP (Laureate English Program) at Laureate International Universities and a Full Professor at Anhembi Morumbi University (UAM) where he taught English for the majors of Marketing, Business Administration, International Trade, Hospitality, Tourism and International Relations. Moreover, during his time at UAM, Ulisses helped in the implementation and, later, was in charge of coordinating the English discipline in the hybrid modality of blended learning for all the majors of the School of Business and Hospitality. As a researcher, he conducts studies and has publications in the following areas: (a) ICT, focusing on blended and tandem learning for in-curriculum subjects and CLIL; (b) Systemic-Functional Linguistics, with integrated studies of literature and linguistics, and focus on the analysis of transitivity, persuasion and ideology; and (c) Portuguese Philology and comparative literature, concerning diachronic studies involving Galician-Portuguese medieval songs, baroque literature and modernism.

preconceito aos judeus na tradição literária das cantigas galego-portuguesas. Para isso, a pesquisa apoia-se, principalmente, nas propostas da Linguística Sistêmico-Funcional, a teoria da Avaliatividade e os modelos de validação ideológica topdown e bottom-up. Além disso, o arcabouço teórico e metodológico do projeto conta com perspectivas da Teoria Literária e Edótica, uma vez que a pesquisa implica em análises
linguísticas e literárias para investigar este quadro de representações de preconceito e estereótipo na época medieval na Península Ibérica.
