With this objective, the program ProAcesso, created in 2003, has promoted a road paving in little developed municipalities of Minas Gerais, linking them to regional poles. So, this paper analyzed the impacts of ProAcesso on the development of these municipalities in the period of 2002 to 2009, using two methodologies: Propensity Score Matching (PSM) and Double Difference (DD). The model estimation showed the ProAcesso exercised positive impacts on Human Development Index of Municipalities.
Given the absence of studies about income differential by sexwith focus on sectors of economic ... more Given the absence of studies about income differential by sexwith focus on sectors of economic activity, this paper analyzesthe first, second and third sectors of the Brazilian economy in 2005 and 2015. The Human Capital Theory was used as reference and income equations for men and women were estimated for the three sectors and the two years chosen for the research. The difference was decomposed by the Oxaca-Blinder method to separate the effect of the productive characteristics of men and women from other effects. The results indicate a lower income of women in the three sectors of economic activity, caused mainly by the component not explained of the productive characteristics.

Ao longo dos últimos anos, com a transição demográfica, o aumento da participação das mulheres no... more Ao longo dos últimos anos, com a transição demográfica, o aumento da participação das mulheres no mercado de trabalho, as mudanças educacionais e do perfil socioeconômico em geral, parece ter ocorrido uma transformação nas relações familiares no Brasil. Isso inclui uma maior flexibilidade nas relações maritais, como, por exemplo, a disseminação das relações informais (coabitações) e aumento do rompimento das uniões formais. Este último é o objeto de estudo deste trabalho, que buscou caracterizar o perfil dos brasileiros divorciados, por sexo, a partir de fatores como nível educacional, cor, religião e aspectos geográficos (grande região e urbano/rural). Para tanto, utilizou-se dados do Censo Demográfico de 2010 através de um modelo de regressão logística. Os resultados foram similares para ambos os sexos, apontando uma relação positiva entre divórcio e nível socioeconômico, verificada principalmente nas variáveis de educação e regionais.
