When studying deacons and diaconia of today, you have to understand the history of the modern movement since 1830 as well as the development starting with the earliest Church. You need knowledge of practical, dogmatical, ethical, exegetical, historical, ecumenical, and sociological character. And therefore I have been doing it, since 1985.
