
Tajiel Urioh
Tajiel Urioh is #ClimateAction Activist and Executive Director of The Green Icon, a non-profit organization working on climate change, conservation, water, energy and green youth leadership in Tanzania. He serve as member of National Environment Working Group for UN Global Compact Tanzania Network , Board Member for Foundation for Environment Climate and Energy, Young Water Fellow UN Tanzania SDGs Champion and ESD Young Leader under WWF Africa and UNESCO. In 2017 Urioh was Coordinator for Tanzania International Model UN at Youth of United Nations Association. He once worked at Tanzania Civil Society Forum on Climate Change (ForumCC) as Communication Officer, as well as other National and International Organizations on Climate Change.
Urioh graduated from University of Dar es Salaam (B.A Hons) in 2013 and he attended further studies in Germany, Mauritius, Switzerland, and Belgium
Urioh is multi-award winning and well known for climate and environmental action beyond borders as well as representation of Tanzania Youths in UN Climate Negotiations since 2014.
