O escapismo é uma condição presente na vida do ser humano, das muitas formas de fugir e transcend... more O escapismo é uma condição presente na vida do ser humano, das muitas formas de fugir e transcender, a arte é uma delas e este sentimento foi materializado na obra da banda de rock progressivo Terreno Baldio; especificamente em seu primeiro álbum. Para assimilar como se manifestou tal afeto, a pesquisa é dividida em três partes: Primeiro é apresentada a banda Terreno Baldio, há uma breve biografia com depoimentos dos integrantes remanescentes. Neste primeiro capítulo, dois subcapítulos são dedicados aos álbuns da banda, onde há comentários sobre seus conceitos e canções. Na segunda parte do trabalho, é feita uma revisão sobre os conceitos de contracultura e spleen. A fim de contextualizar o período histórico que o Terreno Baldio estava inserido, é abordada a história do rock progressivo na Europa e no Brasil. Na terceira e última parte da dissertação é analisado o primeiro álbum do Terreno Baldio de 1976. Apoiados nos conceitos apresentados anteriormente, os recursos analíticos elencados para esse processo foram a analise musical e a análise do discurso de linha francesa. Ao analisar as canções do primeiro álbum de forma idiossincrática, vemos uma banda que seguiu os passos das bandas progressivas europeias. Virtuosismo instrumental e lirismo textual em um álbum conceitual, que carregam ineditismo e originalidade ao ambientalizar os conceitos apresentados a realidade brasileira da década de 1970.

A discussão envolve a relação da contracultura na segunda metade dos anos de 1960 com o nascimento do rock progressivo na Inglaterra e o surgimento da Tropicália no Brasil, suas relações políticas e experimentações musicais.

Bahian carnival is known all over Brazil, and behind this celebration there are many stories and ... more Bahian carnival is known all over Brazil, and behind this celebration there are many stories and characters. One of them is Armandinho Macêdo, a musical prodigy who, since childhood, leads the Trio Elétrico with his guitarra baiana and has achieved international recognition, integrating the band A Cor do Som. What is the guitarra baiana? Frevo, choro and rock n 'roll? How is this fusion possible? Eleanor Rigby of the Beatles in frevo version? How can the study of versions relate to musical education? Looking for answers to questions like these, we present here an exploratory research exercise that reconciles bibliographic review and transcription and musical analysis routines. The first part of the work brings a brief biographical cut about Armandinho that covers the years of 1953 to 1978, year in which the band A Cor do Som participated of the Montreux Festival registering, live, this frevo version of Eleanor Rigby. The second chapter contains commentaries on the Beatles in 1966, the release of the Revolver album and on the song Eleanor Rigby. In the third chapter is a partial transcription with analytical commentary of this colorful version of Eleanor Rigby released by A Cor do Som on the album Live in Montreux in 1978. Finally, it is observed that, resulting in versatile teaching and learning materials , the critical study of versions that reconciles contextualization and musical appreciation routines can be a contributory training activity in several musical education processes.
