
David Winkler
I received my PhD from Indiana University in 2016 with a dissertation on Italian survivor-writers' literary engagement with the public memory of the Holocaust. I have held faculty positions at University of Delaware, Middlebury College, and Indiana University. My research on Italo-Judaic and Holocaust literature has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and has been the subject of keynote lectures at Nazareth College, High Point University, University of Kansas, and The Delaware Contemporary Museum.
I currently teaching American and Jewish-American literature and cinema at The Frisch School in Paramus, NJ. I have taught Italian language and culture at all undergraduate levels, as well as popular interdisciplinary courses such as Old Myths and New Discourses: Cinematic Representations of the Holocaust, and I Am Not an Anti-Dentite!: Jewish Humor from the Shtetl to Seinfeld and Beyond.
