Se propone a la imaginación social como el espacio teórico donde se producen las reinterpretaciones de la tradición que dan origen a una identidad narrada a través del relato. Luego, se revisan las posibilidades analíticas de éste en términos metodológicos repasando las diferencias entre estructuralismo y hermenéutica.
The paper discusses the epistemological configuration of law and science as different systems of ... more The paper discusses the epistemological configuration of law and science as different systems of reasoning or knowledge production. By describing the unfolding of engineering practices within the creation of an electrical power project, and the public policy practices within the regulation of electrical power systems, the sociotechnical energy system will be shown from the conceptual and material technologies involved in the engagement with modelling techniques. The comparative analysis of the forecasting model in both sets of practices will point to its agency properties, specifically to predictability as a facilitator for the production of certain temporal structures by devising causal relations through time. Different temporalities will appear to be inscribed on the discursive statement chains of law and science due to their different governing sets of binding rules for knowledge production. Accuracy in predictability within scientific reasoning will be achieved through traceability, whereas in law, it will be related to accountability.
