Although the benefits of contact tracing seem obvious, it is difficult to estimate the actual impact contact tracing has on an outbreak because it is hard to separate the effects of contact tracing from other behavioural changes or interventions. To understand the impact contact tracing had in Ireland, we used an agent-based model that is designed to simulate the spread of COVID-19 through Ireland. The model uses real contact tracing data from the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. We found that without contact tracing, and everything else held constant, a larger number of cases, hospital admissions, ICU admissions and deaths would have occurred. The model suggests that without contact tracing deaths from COVID-19 in Ireland during the first year of the pandemic could have increased by 80% (this equates to approximately 5,768 agents in the model). This modelling study is an important step in highlighting the impact that contact tracing had on the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we use a model for Ireland, this method is applicable to any country or region.

Any hindrance with jaws and muscles of face which control temporomandibular joint are known as temporomandibular disorders (TMD) Objective: To assess the association of temporomandibular dysfunction and perceived stress among medical professionals of Udaipur city. Materials and Methods: A cross sectional Questionnaire study was conducted amongst medical professionals of Udaipur City. A List was prepared regarding all medical colleges of Udaipur city, out of six medical colleges one was selected randomly which was pacific institute of medical sciences. Medical professionals with MBBS/MD/MS/DNB Degree and those who were willing to participate are included in the study whereas subjects suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis, any previous history of surgery in maxillofacial area, showing signs and symptoms of TMD, any history of trauma in maxillofacial area, were excluded from the study. Questionnaire was based on fonseca's TMD assessment scale given by Fonseca in 1992 and perceived stress scale by S.Cohen in 1983, both scale consisted of 10 questions each. Results: A total of 400 subjects participated out of which only 3.5% medical professionals were having severe TMDs. A total of 58.8% subjects were having moderate level of stress whereas none of the participants were having HIGH stress levels. Few Subjects were having Mild TMD (22.5%) to which (58.8%) were found to have Moderate stress levels.

Background:
Sudarshan Kriya yoga (SKY) is one of the proposed breathing techniques, which has proven to be an effective intervention for depression and anxiety in small studies. This study set out to retrieve, appraise and summarize the existing literature to assess the effectiveness of SKY to improve health outcomes in patients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression.
Methods:
A systematic review of the literature was conducted to identify randomized control studies assessing SKY versus pharmacological intervention or placebo in patients with either depression and/or anxiety published from 1998 to June 2020. The studies were identified through database searches. Assessment of the quality of evidence included risk of bias, heterogeneity, directness of the evidence, risk of publication bias and precision of effect estimates.
Results:
The pooled Standardized Mean Difference (SMD) for the effect of SKY on depression was 0.02[-0.20, 0.24] in 6 studies with 388 participants. The pooled SMD for the effect of SKY on anxiety was -0.05 [-0.63, 0.52] based on five studies with 428 participants. The robustness of the results was assisted by a sensitivity analysis that revealed the effect of each study predominantly affected the overall SMD in each clinical outcome. There was also high heterogeneity observed for depression (I2=93%; p < 0.001) and for anxiety (I2=97%; p < 0.001).
Conclusion:
SKY in itself is diverse in nature and when it comes to its overall effectiveness it may be inferred that teaching has shown immense potential in treating depression and anxiety. Many small studies claimed the effects of SKY on a different range of outcomes. It has also shown to be effective among different segments of population with varying physical capabilities. However, future studies are needed to evaluate the short- and long-term impact of SKY on larger samples.

This study shows that psychological factors such as stress have an influence on temporomandibular disorder.
