
Isabel Alonso
Dr. Isabel Alonso Belmonte holds a M.A. in Spanish as a Foreign Language Teacher Education and a Ph.D. in English Philology from University Complutense of Madrid (Spain). She currently works as an ELT associate professor at the University Autónoma de Madrid, where she has been training Primary and Secondary EFL pre service and in service teachers for more than 10 years now. During this time, she has participated in several international projects on foreign language teacher training in primary and secondary education in a European context. As for her research, her areas of specialization are discourse analysis and applied linguistics to language teaching (both Spanish and English as a foreign language), areas in which she has extensively published. She has also led national and international research projects on foreign language learning and linguistic analysis.
