TweakBit FixMyPC is a system optimizer intended to preserve your computer’s speed and stability. Most of the work of this application is done on the registry, a database where Windows stores part of its settings and options.

Likewise, it allows uninstalling software as well as tweaking some parameters to customize your operating system.

In terms of fixing Registry problems, it is good to find out that the program can fix not only obsolete and faulty entries but also fragmentation issues. Fortunately, the tool lets you analyze the results in detail and choose which errors to repair. Similarly, it is possible to select the areas you want to scan. Good news for inexpert users is that there is a way to schedule regular analyses.

In a market already flooded by system optimizers, TweakBit FixMyPC does nothing extraordinary. It is also too bad that the trial version cannot fix any of the problems it finds, which makes it impossible to check its real efficacy. There are even some hints of this application being an adware, as there is too much insistence on making you install other products by the same developer.

Pros

  • Fixes not only obsolete and faulty registry entries but also fragmentation issues
  • Uninstalls software
  • Scheduled scans

Cons

  • No way to check the trial version’s efficacy
  • Possible adware

TweakBit helped me to keep my PC in a good shape. It does what it claims to do. One of the drawbacks that I see with this product is that it does not let fix the issues found without registering the program first.

After installing a video editing program I started getting blue screens every time my computer stayed on for a couple of days. Uninstalling it didn’t help. I tried lots of things but Tweakbit was the only thing that actually worked. I am definitely keeping it.

I was weary about paying for something I wasn’t convinced was going to work, but it did and I couldn’t be happier.
