Wrinkle free fabric at low cost is always a desirable aesthetic property. Different type of resins/finishes and pre-heat setting prior to processing are applied to avoid wrinkles in woven and hosiery, respectively. Current study is proposed to produce wrinkle free circular plaited knitted fabric by the elimination of a pre-boarding step. In this achievement, yarn covering parameters and compatibility of yarns with knitting machines are examined. Sock samples were analyzed for improved physical appearance (wrinkles) after various processes (pre-tumbling, dyeing, bleaching, and washing). Yarn specifications (sheath yarn fineness, sheath yarn texture i.e. shrink/un-shrink, covering air-knots) impact on socks physical appearance were also analyzed. The results clearly showed that by decreasing number of yarn covering air knots and sheath yarn fineness leads to prevention of wrinkle formation. The results also prove to be supportive for cost effectiveness by eliminating the pre-setting stage.

The objective of present study was to develop multifunctional and wearable electrically conductive fabrics
with acceptable comfort properties by in-situ deposition of silver particles. The effect of silver nitrate
concentration and number of dips was investigated for change in electrical conductivity, EMI shielding, and
antimicrobial properties of coated fabrics. The dynamic light scattering and SEM analysis were employed
to study the morphology of deposited silver particles. The EMI shielding was found to increase with
increase in concentration of silver particles. Later, the comfort and mechanical properties were studied. No
significant decrease in air permeability and water vapor permeability was observed due to partial coverage
of fabric pores by coating of silver particles. Moreover, the coated fabrics also showed promising behavior
toward antimicrobial properties. When the durability of coated fabrics was examined against washing, the
application of binder provided good retention of silver particles without loss of electrical conductivity of
coated fabrics.

In this study, an algebraic model and its experimental verification was carried out to investigate the effect of moisture content on the heat loss that takes place due to conduction of sock fabrics. The results show that increasing moisture content in the studied socks caused a significant increase in their conductive heat loss. Plain knitted socks with different fiber composition were wetted to a saturated level, and then their moisture content was reduced stepwise. When achieving the required moisture content, the socks samples were characterized by the Alambeta testing instrument for heat transfer. Three different existing modified mathematical models for the thermal conductivity of wet fabrics were used for predicting thermal resistance of socks under wet conditions. The aim of this research is to analyze effect of varying leg sizes on lateral compression pressure at ankle and calf portions and mutual graduation [%]. We also studied the effect of transverse elastic elongation [%] on air permeation [mm/sec] in relaxed (0% extension) and extended state (70% extension) of compression socks. To extend the compression socks at ankle and calf portions, a novel extension frame was used. Kikuhime pressure measuring device was used for measuring lateral compression and mutual graduation [%]. Lidská noha může v horkém prostředí za hodinu vytvořit 30 gramů, někdy dokonce až 50 gramů potu. Průměrná produkce potu při intenzivním cvičení v chladu činí kolem 10 g/h na nohu. Intenzita pocení může dosáhnout až 30 g /h na nohu při velmi vysokých úrovní cvičení, zatímco během běžných pracovních aktivit bude produkce potu ležet mezi 3-6 g/h [3][4]. Tepelný odpor vlhkých textilií se podstatně snižuje díky mnohokrát vyšší tepelné vodivosti absorbované vody ve srovnání s tepelnou vodivostí vzduchu. Zachování vysokého tepelného odporu ponožek je důležité pro osoby pracující ve vlhkých podmínkách, aby byli chráněni před zákopy a problémy s podchlazením.
