Profesional de proyectos CINTEL artagena, a pesar de tener ventajas innegables en cuanto a recurs... more Profesional de proyectos CINTEL artagena, a pesar de tener ventajas innegables en cuanto a recursos naturales, ubicación geográfica y ser considerada como patrimonio C histórico de la humanidad, tiene una de las bases tributarias (1) más bajas de Colombia, contrastado con unos altos gastos para mantener la infraestructura colonial, las lagunas, la bahía, y el puerto. El crecimiento de la brecha entre los ingresos y gastos es uno de los factores generadores de aislamiento social y de la falta de generación de oportunidades para los cartageneros. Adicionalmente, éste impide a las personas conocer sus derechos y acceder a los servicios sociales básicos. Es por lo anterior que, desde el 2005, CINTEL en conjunto con la fundación PROBOQUILLA, han venido desarrollando actividades en los campos de educación, salud y productividad, soportadas en las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones (TIC); tendientes a incluir socialmente a la comunidad de La Boquilla.

It includes an analysis innovativeness level represented by companies of various sizes and industries from all over the world. The analysis leads to the conclusion, that an innovativeness of Polish companies is at low to moderate level, hence it needs some support. This is rationale for formulating a proposal on enhancing innovativeness by cooperation, skills and competence flow between companies. The paper presents both the rationale and framework of the research project, striving for development of an IT tool/platform supporting innovative knowledge and sill transfer and absorption.

The model is elaborated on the basis of literature review with respect to Logistics 4.0 and maturity models. Its objective is to propose measures that exhibit what solutions are recommended for companies as well as how they can improve their actual state of Logistics 4.0. This paper presents the actual review of literature referred to Logistics 4.0, Internet of Things as well as maturity models. Based on the aforementioned backgrounds, the novelty of proposed model is confirmed. The proposed model distinguishes three main dimensions to be assessed in terms of Logistics 4.0: management, flow of materials, and flow of information. Thus, SMEs tend to join clusters aiming to accelerate their process of innovation, catch up with the dynamics of the industry and increase their probability to access external knowledge and resources. Consequently, promoting a collaborative atmosphere by boosting the synergies between cluster managers and SMEs will foment a culture of innovation. Moreover, the inclusion of new technologies, and especially the advent of industry 4.0, is facilitating collaboration, while at the same time accelerating the development of innovation outcomes and setting new challenges for SMEs. Purpose Value stream mapping (VSM) is very common in the manufacturing industry to enhance transp... more Purpose Value stream mapping (VSM) is very common in the manufacturing industry to enhance transparency and support improvements within the production process. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the current status of the method from the user’s point of view and addresses its future sustainability in the context of the ongoing digitalization. Design/methodology/approach An empirical survey with 170 participants from different branches was conducted. The web-based questionnaire covers the topics Lean Management, respectively, VSM, Industry 4.0, the integration of both approaches as well as a possible need for action to modify the VSM. Results are analyzed in a quantitative way. Findings Benefits and shortcomings of VSM are already confirmed by previous publications. The serious challenge is the lack of flexibility of the method.
