Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) paved the way for developing alternative and advanced methods for implementing the concept of e-learning by identifying what aids educational applications and platforms in visualizing content and thus providing students and their education with easy access in their homes during quarantine and providing them with easy access to educational materials throughout time. Students' impressions of the impact of the human-computer interaction process on the quality of e-learning at Tafila Technical University are discussed in this study. Within one year and four months of the COVID-19 quarantine, students got sufficient experience to apply e-learning. Students responded to a questionnaire that contained closed-ended questions. The responses were analyzed to ascertain the influence of the continual huma...

Specifically, this research are interested in evaluating usability and designing of social networks which it is designed specially for hospital to be available for the stakeholders to share the knowledge. This paper aims to design and evaluate the usability of a Jordanian Medical Social Network (JMSN). In order to evaluate it, we designed a prototype based on the Extended TPB (ETPB). The study has conducted a survey with the stakeholders in the Jordanian hospitals, to get their viewpoints about the performance of the prototype using Usability and User Experience (USE) method. Therefore, the questionnaire was send to 172 of the workers in the various sectors in Jordanian hospitals after they use the prototype; we have analyzed the results, which showed that the prototype that has been designed to the study is usable. Most of respondents agree that the social network was easy to use, easy to learn, useful a...

This paper presents the user satisfaction evaluation of social networks named as Jordanian Medical Social Network (JMSN) which was designed for staff at Jordanian hospitals. This prototype was used and designed based on the enhanced TPB model of knowledge sharing behavior. A survey was conducted with the stakeholders in the Jordanian hospitals, to get their viewpoints about their satisfaction level on JMSN. Usability and User Experience (USE) questionnaires were distributed to 172 stakeholders who used the social networks. The results from the survey indicate that the prototype achieved higher degree of satisfaction among the stakeholders.

Therefore, this paper is aimed at determining the obstacles that prevent stakeholders in Jordanian hospitals from sharing their knowledge; and furthermore we have developed a conceptual model, based on Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), to improve our understanding in terms of the factors, which affect knowledge sharing behaviors of knowledge workers in the Jordanian hospitals. To achieve the objective of examining the barriers that hinder the stakeholders from knowledge sharing in Jordanian hospitals, we have conducted an interview survey with the stakeholders in the Jordanian hospitals, to get their viewpoints. Therefore, we interviewed 15 of the workers in the various sectors in Jordanian hospitals and we have analyzed the results, whi...

A significant learning outcome that emerged in recent years is working in teams, wherein two programmers can engage in pair programming to work on a single task as a group. This study examined the usability and effectiveness of using pair programming. We also evaluated the effects of pair programming on student results, time consumed, and number of errors, Big-O notation, and time complexity. The mixed method approach was applied by formulating a questionnaire and three different projects. We applied a novel strategy for creating pairs of students from different levels and courses in Tafila Technical University. Results indicated that pair programming is feasible and effective for educational purposes. Positive results were also obtained for programming learning, time, performance, and code quality.

The International Master of Science on Cyber Physical Systems (MS@CPS) is a collaborative project that aims to establish a master program in cyber physical systems (CPS). A consortium composed of nine partners proposed the project. Three partners are European and from Germany, UK and Sweden; while the other six partners are from the South Mediterranean region and include: Palestine, Jordan and Tunisia. The consortium is led by the University of Siegen in Germany who also manages the implementation of the work packages. CPS is an emerging engineering subject with significant economic and societal implications, which motivated the consortium to propose the establishment of a master program to offer educational and training opportunities at graduate level in the fields of CPS. In this paper, CPS as a field of study is presented with an emphasis on its importance...

This paper aims at combining machine learning techniques with Smartphone sensors readings (i.e. accelerometer sensor) in order to develop a smart model capable of classifying walking patterns into different categories (fast, normal, slow, very slow or very fast) along with variable of gender, male or female and sensor place, waist, hand or leg. In this paper, we use several machine learning algorithms including: Neural Network, KNN, Random forest, and Tree to train and test extracted data from Smartphone sensors. The results indicate that Smartphone sensor can be exploited in developing a reliable model for identifying the human walking patterns based on accelerometer readings. In addition, results show that Random forest is the best performing classifiers with an accuracy o...

This study proposes a new tracking system model to track trainee students in universities. This tracking system activates the user when he or she logs in to the system from the training location. Prior to the activation (or deactivation to calculate the training time of the trainee), the system needs to verify the International Mobile Equipment Identity and Subscriber Identity Module card ID of the student by sending these pieces of information and the user ID to the central server. Upon activation, the student can access the training system to upload and download documents as well as to contact his or her colleagues and supervisor.

The aim of this research is to determining and examining the factors that may encourage and enhance the knowledge sharing behavior among stakeholders in Jordanian hospitals using social networks. To achieve the objective of this research, we have conducted questionnaire survey with the stakeholders, where 1800 questionnaire were distributed of in the various sectors in Jordanian hospitals. The results from the survey indicated that, 12 out of the 14 proposed hypotheses are supported. These hypotheses are the crucial factors that influence the knowledge sharing behaviors of stakeholders. Patterns of user movement serve as the basis of this approach. These patterns are effectively utilized to detect user direction on the basis of the correlation between the RSS and acceleration values. A series of experiments was conducted to test the proposed approach. The proposed approach achieves 95% accuracy and thus shows great potential as a practical solution for estimating directions in indoor environments.

Until now, this knowledge is not easily spread to other practitioners and translated into practice guidelines. We argue that a peer-to-peer knowledge sharing technique can serve as a key change factor to improve the attitudes, beliefs and methods for stakeholder management. We are using collaborative technologies, in the area of Web 2.0, to develop a web-based knowledge sharing tools to enhance a community of practitioners that are involved in collaborative learning and problem solving. We offer the design and use of a web portal featuring a discussion forum to facilitate experiential knowledge sharing based on the LINKS knowledge sharing model (Leveraging INternet for Knowledge Sharing).

In this paper, we use several machine learning algorithms (Neural network, KNN, Naïve Bayes and Random forest tree) to train and test data extracted from Smartphone sensors. The results indicate the possibility to exploit Smartphone sensor readings in the design of a reliable model capable of identifying the driving style based on accelerometer readings. All examined machine learning algorithms maintain high accuracy in classifying the vehicle's driving class; however, the neural network classifiers achieve the highest accuracy ratio reaches (99.9%).
