When to use Excel ROUND Function<\/span><\/h3>\n

ROUND function can be used when you want to return\u00a0a number rounded to a specified number of digits.<\/p>\n

What it Returns<\/span><\/h3>\n

A number rounded to a specified number of digits.<\/p>\n

Syntax<\/span><\/h3>\n

=ROUND(number, num_diguts).<\/p>\n

Input Arguments<\/span><\/h3>\n

  • number – <\/b>the number that you want to round.<\/li>\n
  • num_digits –\u00a0<\/strong>the number of digits to which you want to round the number argument.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Additional Notes<\/span><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • If num_digits is greater than 0 (zero), then number is rounded to the specified number of decimal places.\n
        \n
      • For example, =ROUND(500.51,1) would return 500.5.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • If num_digits is 0, the number is rounded to the nearest integer.\n
          \n
        • For example, =ROUND(500.51,0) would return 501.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • If num_digits is less than 0, the number is rounded to the left of the decimal point.\n
