A friend flew in from Denver on a horse-hunting trip earlier this week and she loves my mare!! Looks like we may make a deal. Keep your fingers crossed! Here they are:
Look at that lovely soft rein and that great step!
If this works, it will be huge for her, great for Ariel, and I'll be really happy too (snif)!
MmmmKay. I got my ACDHolmesfest assignment and I'm stoked mostly terrified, but hey, stoked! Does that still count? Sure, let's count it. Today I had a great ride on Ariel. Someday, someone will get a picture of me on her, since I have exactly zero pics of me. Lots of pics of others (good and bad), but none of me. I got several more rows of the September Sock done without any mistakes. Moving right along, ahead of schedule. Yay, me.
My rider couldn't come today, so I got on Sam myself and enlisted DH to take pictures. Sam is steering well now, but he is still at the stage I hate in young horses where they basically fall forward on to each leg as they take each step. He's much better than he was last week, but I'll be glad when he gets a little better balance. ARGH! I guess that means I need to ride him more myself.
Still no pictures of me on Ariel, but I'm beginning to really like the work we're doing now.
