He has participated in scientific research within the Department of Engineering and Architecture (UNITS) coordinating working groups on the themes of landscape design, urban redevelopment and techniques and tools for the insertion and integration of road networks into the territory.
He has developed many "applied research" in the scientific field and participated in various national and international research programs, including studies "for the solar landscapes within the Interreg ITA-SLO 2014-2020 Project MUSE", for the "New Intermodal Hub of Trieste Airport", for the "reorganization of the international public transport network Gorizia - Nova-Gorica", for the "Green Plan of Latisana" and for the "architectural and landscape recovery of the former military areas of the 2nd post-war period in Romans d'Isonzo -GO ".
He has been the author of numerous projects and consultancy in the field of infrastructure and landscape design and planning, specializing in the field of open spaces.
he has been a teacher in workshops, courses and lessons in various Italian universities, including Naples (2019), Turin (2019), IUAV di Venezia (2012), Trento (2011), Ascoli Piceno - Camerino (2010), Genoa (2009) , Ferrara (2007).
Over the years he has concentrated his disciplinary research around the themes of "street architecture", developing theoretical studies and application projects on the "space of mobility", and also dealing with the criticism of the project relating to infrastructures and the landscape with essays and writings, and organizing conferences and study seminars on figures of contemporary architecture who have dealt with these specific issues such as Giò Ponti (Autilia and Traffic Non Stop), Pietro Porciani (Autostrada del Brennero A22), Bernard Lassus (les autoroutes du sud de la France), Lawrence Halprin (Traffic Architecture), James Wines (Rest Stop Plate River and Best parking lot building) and more recently on Costantino Dardi (the terrestrial tessellation), whose results have been the subject of scientific publications in trade journals ( Domus, Architettura del Paesaggio, Topos and Acer) and on specific monographs including:
