COVID -19 pandemic has created the greatest economic crisis since the second world war. The main ... more COVID -19 pandemic has created the greatest economic crisis since the second world war. The main objective of this article is to analyse the impact of COVID-19 in the economy of South Korea. The article also looks at the various economic packages introduced by the government of South Korea to protect the people particularlylow-income families, informal-sector employees, part-timers, women, and the disabled. The article concludes that the country's response tools and strategies in containing COVID-19 have been exemplary in the global community. The economic packages have been successful in creating jobs, boosting consumption and promoting investment. The modality of proper and effective cooperation and coordination among the levels of government and between the public and private sector played the vital role.

The Constitution of Nepal as Federal Democratic Republic was promulgated on September 20, 2015 by the second CA. The primary objective of this study is to review the modality presented in the new constitution on the natural resources, economic rights and revenue allocation and recommend some amendments. The study finds that the fiscal decentralization initiatives have not been successful in minimizing the political, social, economic, regional and ethnic inequalities inherent for nearly 240 years of a unitary system of governance in Nepal. The study recommends: VAT and income taxes will have to be collected concurrently at both the central and sub-national levels. Other taxes including excise duties will have to be collected by the sub-national governments which will support the expenditure responsibilities of the sub-national governments adequately in federal Nepal. It has been creating an adverse impact on human lives, livelihoods, and infrastructures. The primary objective of this study is to state the human causalities and economic loss from disasters in Nepal and suggest institutional and system reforms for effective disaster risk management in the country. This is an analytical study based on secondary data. Data published from various government and non-government organizations are used to analyse the situation. Although the findings of the study reveal that the Government of Nepal has been continuously carrying out many efforts for fighting against various levels of disasters in the country, it concludes that additional efforts are needed from the federal to the local level at all phases of disaster management including preparedness, response, and recovery. (BIMSTEC) in 2004, and implementation of the South Asian Free Trade Area (SAFTA)
in 2006, the Government of Nepal has pursued a policy of mobilising excise taxes to
compensate for revenue losses resulting from the reduction and abolition of customs
tariff rates and other obligations of WTO membership. The principal objective of this
article is to analyse the existing system of excise administration in Nepal and identify
ways in which the administrative burden may be reduced for both taxpayers and the
government. The study identifies an urgent need to shift from the current physical
control system to a self-removal system, as well as a need to rationalise the country’s
excise legislative provisions, in line with international practices.
