Inside Mari follows a young college student who ignores his obligations and lives as a hermit, who wakes up one day as a beautiful high school girl who was the distant object of his affection. In a twist, he finds that the girl does not inhabit his original body, but rather a separate version of himself does. The series follows him as he tries to find the girl. The manga explores themes about gender, identity, and eros.
