From the Ashes chronicles the history of the Romulan Empire from the 2315 to 2415, through the Hobus disaster to the rise of the Romulan Fourth Republic. It tries to answer the question: how could one of the quadrant’s greatest powers fall apart so quickly. and how could it despite that manage to be put back together.
