Back To Hogwarts: Platform 9 3/4 Pocket Watch

Here's a fun little addition to the collection, a Platform 9 3/4 pocket watch. I used to carry pocket watches all the time (but they all had train motifs), but with the advent of cell phones, clocks on the car stereo, microwave, coffee pots, and wall clocks in the office, I no longer felt a need to wear any kind of watch. So basically for me, this was just a purchase for nostalgia's sake! Enjoy! Opa Fritz

That chain/fob is quite long. When stretched out it measures 30"!

Lionel 100th Anniversary Pocket Watch

Now here's a memento from Lionel's Centennial Celebration that makes sense. The pocket knives were nice looking but being collector's knives they had dulled edges - bleccch. This pocket watch however was fully functional,  nicely designed, and well executed. Okay, hat being said I never did actually use it. It just sat around here with the other stuff and so I decided to sell the thing. Actually I just sold it yesterday for a whopping $6! Yup, the market for these collectibles has gone totally soft, but now I'm in a de-acquisition phase and there's no regrets. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
