Marco F. Senaldi
Marco Senaldi is a philosopher, art critic and curator. He is actually Director of LABA - Libera Accademia Belle Arti Brescia (Italy). He has been professor of Cinema and Visual Arts at State University, Milan-Bicocca; History of Contemporary Art at IULM, Milan; currently Professor of Media Theory at Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti, Torino.
He published extensively on contemporary art theory and related matters: Enjoy! Il godimento estetico / The Aesthetic Enjoyment, Meltemi, Rome, 2003 (2nd ed. 2006), on Contemporary Art and Aesthetics; Van Gogh a Hollywood. He contributes with articles and essays on various italian daily newspapers as La Repubblica, Corriere della sera, Il manifesto, etc.; art magazines, as Flash Art, Artribune, Alfabeta, etc.; and international academic journals as Fata Morgana (Italy); International Journal of Zizek Studies (www.zizekstudies.org); Tvrda – Journal for Theory, Culture and Visual Arts (Zagreb); .
He is actually member of : SIE (Società Italiana di Estetica); CUC (Consulta Universitaria Cinema); founder member of GRICO (Gruppo di ricerca sull’immaginario e la complessità - Università degli studi di Milano-Bicocca); editor of IJZS – International Journal of Žižek Studies; member of NECS (European Network of Cinema Studies); member of Ordine Nazionale dei Giornalisti – Italy.
During the period 1994-2000 he also produced cultural tv programs on contemporary art scene (L'Angelo, Le Notti dell'angelo, Onda Anomala, Cenerentola, etc.) for national networks as Canale 5, Italia Uno and RAI 3.
In 2019 RAI 3 broadcast his TV-program (with A. Galletta), Genio & Sregolatezza: La Storia d'Italia vista dagli Artisti.

The term "obversion" means double inversion you have when you negate twice a statement. For me, it is an expansion of the original hegelian idea of "double negation". Today, in our mature media societies, obversion is the underlying structure of most phenomena, from economy crisis to Garbage Island (aka Pacific Trash Vortex).
