Shotgun Fields

  • Skeet / Wobble / Trap: $12.00 per round (25 clays)

Range 5 – Action Pistol

Range 5, our Action Pistol Bays, is open to the public and available for full-day rentals. Our staff can assist with setting up props; however, customers are responsible for designing and building their own range layout. Available equipment for the Action Pistol Bays includes walls, barriers, barrels, target sticks, target stands, steel targets, swingers and more.

All consumable items, including targets, pasters, paint, staples and similar supplies, must be provided by the customer. TMP offers these items for sale; please contact us for current pricing.

  • Thursday rental rate: $45, reflecting reduced operating hours.
  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday rental rate: $50.
Rental rates include access to Range 5, along with use of the covered firing lines on Ranges 1, 2 and 4, as well as the Unknown Distance Range. To use Range 5 under supervision, customers must complete a qualification process similar to our Rifle Progression Policy.
Range 5 is not available at an hourly rate due to the preparation and setup time typically required for use.

Daily and hourly fees allow guests to move freely through Ranges 1–4 and the Unknown Distance Range after proper check-in with an RSO (Range Safety Officer).

Unknown Distance Range

The Unknown Distance Range features two elevated platforms overlooking a broad natural valley. The ground slopes gently away, with grass, red Alabama clay, and scattered tree lines breaking up the view. Steel targets of various sizes and shapes are placed throughout the landscape, designed to blend into the terrain rather than stand out.

The targets are not arranged in neat rows. They are spread across the landscape at different angles and elevations, creating the feel of open countryside rather than a traditional square range. Large silhouette plates and animal shapes may be easy to spot, while smaller round or rectangular plates require closer attention to distinguish from the earth and vegetation.

The terrain offers no clues to target distance. There are no distance markers, painted stakes, or numbered signs. You must judge each target by its relationship to the hills, tree lines, and surrounding landscape. Each one presents a visual challenge: determining its distance, actual size, and how it fits into the terrain.

The result is a range that rewards careful observation as much as marksmanship. Before taking a shot, you must find the target, judge its size against the terrain, and estimate the distance using only what you can see.

Range Specials

Tri-County Special ( Wednesday & Thursday):

Residents of Calhoun, St. Clair or Talladega County can show proof of residence and receive 1/2 off range fees on Wednesday and Thursdays.

Thursday Specials:

Rifle/Pistol: $35 all day ($30 with the $5 discount), sporting clays loop: $50 all day ($45 with the $5 discount)

First Thursday of the month: 

Ladies Day

Second Thursday of the month: 

Public Service Workers Day (firemen, police officers, EMT’s, etc, with ID)

Third Thursday of the month: 

Military Day (Retired or Active Duty Military ID)

Fourth Thursday of the month: 

College Student Day
