Kim’s Convenience

This multi-award-winning series features the lives of a Korean-Canadian family who run a convenience store in Toronto, while dealing with the evolving world around them. The series is based on Kim’s Convenience by Ins Choi’s 2011 play of the same name.

Thunderbird developed and sold IP for Kim’s Convenience to CBC, with the first season premiering in 2016 and the series running for a total of five seasons. In 2018, the series made its international debut when it was picked up by Netflix. In 2022, FilmRise acquired the FAST rights to Kim’s Convenience. In addition, the series also sparked a spin-off: Strays aired on CBC from 2021-2022.

Praised for being funny, heartfelt and authentic, Kim’s Convenience continues to attract new audiences and critical acclaim to this day, with the first season holding a 100% rating on the review aggregator, Rotten Tomatoes.

Sidelined: The QB and Me

Sidelined: The QB and Me is a Tubi Original film based on the smash hit Wattpad novel “The QB Bad Boy and Me” by Tay Marley. The movie follows Dallas (Siena Agudong), a burdened but headstrong dancer, who is determined to get into the best dance school in the country — her late mother’s alma mater. Her dream is suddenly derailed when the cheeky yet secretly grieving football star, Drayton (Noah Beck), crashes into her life with a unique story of his own. James Van Der Beek, Drew Ray Tanner, Deborah Cox, and Jake Foy also star in the movie.

Following its premiere in November 2024, Sidelined: The QB and Me quickly rose to the top of the charts. The movie ranked as the #1 title on Tubi in the US and Canada, and drew the largest number of viewers of any title on the platform in its first week. Sidelined: The QB and Me continues to attract audiences around the world with the UK and France (hitting #1 on Prime) among the additional markets that have released the movie.

The sequel, Sidelined 2: Intercepted, is set to premiere on Tubi on November 27th, 2025.
